Be an informed patient10 Jan 2004 11:38 GMT2
I notice that if the pillow I use is too low, the sound of ringing
becomes louder.
I think the above is one of the pieces of information which could help
your doctor diagnose you.  I remember a doctor friend once told me
The poor man's solution to T10 Jan 2004 11:35 GMT2
For the past few days, I have been wondering how the poor people in
China deal with their T problem.  After all, most don't have the money
to buy expensive drugs such as ATIVAN or XANAX, or even if they had
they would have been prescribed as the only places where these drugs
First few days08 Jan 2004 10:50 GMT2
I have has ringing in my left ear for about a week now. I hoped it
would go away, but it didn't, although at one point it went very quiet
for a about six hours. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow.
Having had it for six days, is it likely to be permanent now?
One more time...08 Jan 2004 07:28 GMT11
Let me ask this question one more time at the risk of being
long-winded.
Is it something in the medicine such as ATIVAN or Xanax that is
responsible for lowered ringing OR is it just due to good sleep which
Do I have meniere's disease?08 Jan 2004 07:20 GMT4
My doctor prescribed me flunarizine hydrochloride and the result has
been  alleviating the pressure on my left side of the brain.  But my
doctor ruled out my having meniere's disease because I don't feel
dizzy.  Instead he looks at the vasecular conditions for the cause.

"TV Sound Regulators" -- a gimmick?
I have very sensitive hearing, and trouble understanding speech.  I
depend on closed captioning but it often blocks the screen.

A Quiet Vacuum Cleaner ?07 Jan 2004 21:24 GMT5
My vacuum just crapped out.  I'd like to replace
it with one that is relatively quiet if you

Vitamen B1 and tinnitus07 Jan 2004 03:46 GMT49
A couple of months ago, I went to see a 'top-notched' specialist in
the city.  After an expensive scan operation and hearing test done, he
huzzled me out of the office with only a bottle of Vitamin B1.
Fortunately I still have my Ativa.
Are my ears even more vulnerable now ?06 Jan 2004 21:19 GMT2
Having got T from a rock concert, and the doctor confirming that my inner
ear has been damaged, how much more careful do I have to be to loud sounds?
Since there is already some damage, does it mean that it is easier to do
even more harm and make T even worse??

Is it OK to have a nap throughout the day?04 Jan 2004 06:27 GMT3
Someone told me that having a nap makes T worse.  But this does go
against scientific reasoning.  It is because the more relaxed you are,
the less is the ringing.
Any one could share some experience?

T and vertigo?04 Jan 2004 05:22 GMT7
I'm hoping to find info from other's experiences with doctors and
professionals advice on diet/vitamins to help with circulation and
tinnitus.  My doctor and the audioligist was no real help.  No
recomended vitamins or diet other than no alcohol, caffeine etc...
