Hazel's new TRT site13 Nov 2003 00:33 GMT3
http://www.tinnitus.org/home/frame/THC1.htm It looks the same as
Jastreboff's site allegedly. Corrupt minds think alike.
www.dangerousminds.com would be more appropriate.

Tinnitus & Stroke?11 Nov 2003 23:58 GMT5
I went to an audiologist to get my hearing checked because of persistent
ringing in my right ear, which comes and goes in intensity, but contoinues
in duration.  He confirmed a loss of hearing in the lower frequencies in my
right ear.  My left ear is fine and well within normal ...
Good Morning America does story on treatment for tinnitus11 Nov 2003 21:42 GMT52
Not sure how much its been covered here, but they (GMA) did a story on
TRT "tinitus retraining therapy" from the Tinnitus and Hyperacusis
Center at Emory University in Atlanta, run by Dr. Pavel Jastreboff.
It's suppose to have a 80% success rate.  They use sound generators to

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.

Kindness11 Nov 2003 21:08 GMT45
Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt,
kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to
evaporate.

Low Level Laser article in Wired Magazine11 Nov 2003 00:40 GMT1
This was posted on alt.support.hearingloss and I know some were
interested in the therapy for tinnitus.  Although tinnitus is not
addressed specifically in the article, it is an interesting discussion
of the method itself.
Topical Metronidazole?10 Nov 2003 18:00 GMT6
Several medical sources list high oral doses of metronidazole as an Ototoxic
medication.
I did not find any citation of a similar effect for topical applcation for
skin infections. (MetroGel)
O/T Nagler welcomes "old friends"10 Nov 2003 01:31 GMT1
This is getting too bizarre for words. The guy virtually spits in
people's faces and then extends his hand in friendship, expecting them
to take his sh.t. I really think there is no word to describe this
conduct. IMO, only a truly sick mind that literally has something
Hyperinsulinemia and Tinnitus, hearing loss and vertigo08 Nov 2003 16:41 GMT13
A couple of us have noted reduced T as a result of low carbohydrate dieting,
the antidote to hyperinsulinemia.   Hyperinsulinemia plays a role in or is
indicative of systemic inflammation, perhaps why it worsens T.;

Tinnitus Habituation For Dummies07 Nov 2003 06:35 GMT35
Hi newbies!  Every year or so I impose on this group with the steps that led
to my tinnitus habituation hoping someone else can find relief.  Habituation
is a wonderful thing, IMO, considering my T level is probably higher now
that when I regularly posted to this group while, at the ...
You're welcome, Muzzy07 Nov 2003 03:03 GMT26
Muzzy, if you didn't have me to hate every day I think you'd drop
dead. So you are welcome as my existence apparently gives you life.

Peace Accord?06 Nov 2003 23:45 GMT25
Most of us can remember the onset of our tinnitus.  It wasn't pretty, was
it?  We felt fortunate to find one another and help one another learn to
live with it.  We owe a debt of gratitude to those who told us about
important things like ototoxicity and acoustic neuromas.  We ...
