The way that it is30 Nov 2008 23:37 GMT1
I went to see an ENT a few weeks ago. She is the top ENT for Kaiser in
Denver.   I wrote the ongoing symptoms of a continuous runny nose,
intermittant drowsines, clogged nasal passages and anxeity.  She
reconfirmed the diagnosis of Vasomotor Rhinitis.  I have been dealing

Has anyone had any sinuitis benefits with Singulair? If so how long
should it take to start working?

flu shot question17 Nov 2008 02:45 GMT3
Is there any harm in getting a flu shot, with chronic sinusitis?
Could it make things worse, or, does it prevent things from getting
worse (assuming I get the flu, which I typically do)?
Bone infection16 Nov 2008 13:28 GMT4
How can a possible sinus bone infection be identified and treated.
Thanks Paul
Allergic Fungal Sinusitis16 Nov 2008 03:29 GMT8
My ENT thinks I have Allergic Fungal Sinusitis even though my fungal
culture came back negative. I just started taking the anti-fungal
Sporonox (Itraconzole) and yet another course of Prednisone (this one
for 20 days.) The doc says that this is my last hope before surgery.
Can someone help me14 Nov 2008 16:57 GMT1
Thank you for the replies re my wife's one year runny nose. We visited
the specialist again today and he again advised that a nose culture
and a cat scan would be a waste of money...even so I am going to take
Steven L's advice and get it done. I have respected his advice for

12 months ago to the day, my  wife developed a severe runny nose. It
runs like a tap. She has been seeing an ENT and a Respiratory
Specialist (because she has had post-nasal drip to her chest...she
also uses the Hydra Pulse. I don't know whether she should keep using
Runny nose13 Nov 2008 11:09 GMT2
I have had a runny nose for a year. It has resulted in post-nasal drip
and mucus cough. I have been to 3 different specialists. I have tried
saltwater rinse of sinuses, extended courses of antbiotics, allergy
tests(negative,Ig blood test-negative),a wide range of prescribed anti-
Avelox Allergy11 Nov 2008 07:20 GMT6
I've been off-line for the last week because I've been sick with an
apparent newly developed allergy to Avelox.  On Friday 11/19 I woke up
with a fever & the beginnings of a rash on my legs--just little red
dots.  At that point I had been taking Avelox for 8 days for a sinus

Nasal steriod alternative - puffs over spray08 Nov 2008 21:40 GMT5
I have polyups and, before I learned that, lived the life of constant
sorrow.  I think I am somewhat fortunate in that I can live
comfortable with the use of nasal steriods. They keep me breathing
free.
Baby Shampoo as a Mucolytic Agent07 Nov 2008 19:13 GMT1
I've posted my protocol on "sinus steeping" using xylitol and NAC (N-
acetyl cysteine).  I have added baby shampoo as a possible mucolytic.
I've had a sinus infection for 8 weeks that the xylitol and NAC can't
eliminate.  According to this paper, 1% seems optimal.  Geoff
cough remedies?06 Nov 2008 08:02 GMT8
i have some sort of gawd awful cold/upper resp. infection.  The urgent
care (went on the way home from the airport on monday) said it was
viral.  I feel like i'm going to crack a rib soon.  Talking, some
times breathing will set it off.
Antbiotic Question03 Nov 2008 12:30 GMT2
Hello , I have read that it is worth trying a long course of macrolide
antibiotics to try to attack the sinus bugs over a period of time.
I was prescribed clarithromycin but realised it can have a serious reaction
with lipid lowering statins that I must stay on for other reasons.
