I am dealing with the usual drip, drip, drip30 Jun 2008 03:27 GMT2
I have the usuall nasal drip - both nasal and post nasal every
morning.  The problem is that I am dealing with nasal obstruction
almost every evening.  The nasal passage membranes become loaded with
mucus.   If I allow the obstruction to continue into the evening and

tea rinse27 Jun 2008 01:49 GMT6
I have been rinsing with very strong black tea ( steeping for hours
often over night). After three days, every now and then the "glue"
dislodges and comes out. I sense I will be doing this awhile. This is
not customarily something I am able to do. One of my issues is tohave
For Susan:  Connection Between Viruses and Antibiotic Drug Reactions24 Jun 2008 04:56 GMT1
I had forgotten to dig out any references on this issue.  Here's one:
"A maculopapular rash due to ampicillin or amoxycillin is one of the
most common cutaneous adverse drug reactions, occurring in 5-10% of
children. When ampicillin is administered to patients with infectious
Fatigue Again24 Jun 2008 04:52 GMT3
(Just griping)
I had two episodes (again) of being so fatigued from my sinues being
swollen - we did have thunderstorm and rain - that I couldn't get out
of bed to go to work those days.
glossopharyngeal neuralgia?21 Jun 2008 20:08 GMT1
After 5 surgeries and 20 plus years of infection I still experience a
great deal of congestion and pain.  My ENT says my sinuses are open
and no further surgery is indicated.  There is scar tissue and
inflamed membrane and PND which I treat with irrigation and Nasonex.
Week into Biaxin, and I feel horrible20 Jun 2008 00:36 GMT11
Started on a low dose (500 mg/day) 3-month stint of Biaxin about a
week ago. For some reason or another I've been feeling more or less
horrible for that time. It's not the usual antibiotic side-effects I
know pretty well, but just a worsening of my chronic symptoms, most
Finally, a doc that gets it?18 Jun 2008 22:28 GMT7
Had my first physical with my new PCP, someone with extraordinarily good
ratings on ratemd.com, a family physician.  I interviewed her first,
last month, to make sure she wasn't overwhelmed by my health history and
Humidity question..not necessarily sinus related17 Jun 2008 15:56 GMT5
I've been running a humidifier in my living room 24/7 for a few months
now. I think it has helped with my sinuses.  Isn't static due to the
air being dry? i seem to have more static in my hair and clothes the
last couple of weeks.  Very annoying.  Not sure if the humidifier

photodynamic therapy10 Jun 2008 03:22 GMT1
There are articles on the net saying that they can use photodynamic
therapy for oral infections and that it is effective for c albicans as
well as at least 1 type of bacteria.  Could this eventually be applied
to treat sinus infections???
Antifungal Ointment07 Jun 2008 15:25 GMT9
I posted a while back about my chronic sinus infection. I'm waiting for my
CT scan report to arrive so I can post the results. Anyway, I have a
question about using antifungal ointments for sinus infections. My doctor
prescribed Naftin for me a while back for something else, and I ...
No more chronic07 Jun 2008 03:43 GMT3
My condition must not be (chronic) any more.  After three and a half years
without much let up, now I only use steroid spray maybe five or six sprays
per month.
It could be that I went for many months without smoking and take
advice from the group- antibiotic use07 Jun 2008 01:39 GMT9
I have been struggling with sinus trouble for about 3 months (I know
this is nothing compared to what most of you have been through).  I
have tried multiple home remedies.  At what point do you throw in the
towel and ask for antibiotics?  My problem with antibiotics- aside
