the latest hospital ad29 Sep 2007 01:11 GMT1
just got a newsletter from a local hospital.  it discusses all the
wonderful services available, one being endoscopic microsurgery.  & in
the headline it exclaims that the procedure benefits 4 out of 5
patients.  the article discusses the procedure & says that such

Nasal Irrigation May Not Be an Effective Method for Relief of Sinusitis28 Sep 2007 20:10 GMT17
I've tried Nielmed and Grossan.  Neither really helped.  I stopped about
two years ago and I'm not better or worse.  I will say that the Grossan
forced fluid into my ear canal and gave me a massive double ear
infection.  At least with Neilmed you can control the force.
Dprays, Irrigation, etc28 Sep 2007 06:45 GMT10
I use saline solution and then Flonase.  What sprays do you use?  For those
who Flonase, how much do you use per nostril and how often?  Mucho thankio
Netti-Pot made things worse21 Sep 2007 17:20 GMT2
I don't know what (if anything) I'm doing wrong.
I tried the Netti-pot. Each time there was no difficulty using it. The fluid
went in one nostril and easily out the other. Not a lot of gook came
out--pretty clear, which I expected. It felt fine doing it, but:
I think I found my (smoking gun) cause of my condition.19 Sep 2007 10:43 GMT5
After doing a lot of face massage of my sinus maxillary area I traced
tender spots to two or three upper teeth.
My last trip to the dentist about four months ago turned up zero problems
except a sensitive tooth.
Nettipot looks hard to use18 Sep 2007 23:55 GMT6
Haven't tried it yet. Just bought one this afternoon, about $13.50 at
Walmart. It's the blue one made by Neilmed.
Hoping it helps. This sinus infection is raging now, just like a year ago.
Hoping to hold out (it just started about 4 days ago). But if not better
Sinofresh18 Sep 2007 20:35 GMT4
I just bought the Sinofresh at my local store.  There is a money back
guarantee on it so I thought I would give it a try.  I am impressed!  It
got rid of that stagnant bad breath that one can get from bad allergies and
sinusitis!  I had this weird bad breath for years! Anyone else ...
Who holds the world record for endoscopic sinus surgery?18 Sep 2007 02:36 GMT1
I don't think it's me -- yet -- but I'm considering #5, for a blocked
left sphenoid that's making me miserable in all the usual ways. The
other surgeries occurred over a 12 year period and involved other
sinus cavities. They helped to varying degrees, but I still suffer
Need new irrigation suggestions16 Sep 2007 20:17 GMT16
Well, dammit, that incipient sinus infection (I posted awhile ago that I
sensed one was coming) seems to have arrived.
Main symptoms for me as always: sore throat, sick feeling, somewhat
irritated sinus feelings. No breathing problems.
Need Help With Severe Sinus Problems15 Sep 2007 19:41 GMT2
I have had allergies & asthma since I can remember.  In the past 5
years I have had 5 sinus surgeries to remove polyps and been to many
doctors, none of which have any idea why my sinus problems are so
severe.  My sinus problems have reached a point that I am stuffed up
flying while flared15 Sep 2007 14:22 GMT9

good enough job any more.  Thanks
Yellow Nail Syndrome13 Sep 2007 01:01 GMT3
Any suggestions to one suffering from Yellow Nail Syndrome?
It is often associated with sinusitis and I have been suffering from
pan-sinusitis for about 10 years - now age 63.
Before this, I had beautiful strong nails and now I want them back.
