Questions about surgery 14 year old10 Aug 2007 02:38 GMT10
Took our daughter to the ENT and had a CT scan yesterday. They're calling
for surgery to open up the ethmoid sinuses. She's has issues with one side
of her nose being stopped up (completely) for a long time and repeated
issues with sinus infections. They're also saying that she'd ...
Hydrogen Peroxide - the ID guy says "Good idea"09 Aug 2007 18:47 GMT16
I tried to post this yesterday a.m., but I seem to have failed....
Yesterday, I was seen by an Infectious Diseases doc of some standing
in Southern California.  I went to see him to get his opinion on
whether some central issue may underlie my apparent difficulty in
Humidifiers for healthy people09 Aug 2007 11:24 GMT1
is there an advantage to sleeping with a humidifier even if you have
no overt health problems? I've read the positive effects it has on the
respiratory system and I'm curious if it's something one might want to
do to preserve the health of their lungs...
Hypertension and sinusitus04 Aug 2007 20:49 GMT5
Has anyone heard of a connection between sinusitis and hypertention?
After (and even during) my FESS operation in december where they
opened up all my sinusus (filled with mucous and puss), my blood
pressure was 200 over 150 and after the operation it stayed that high.
Chronic Reforming Crust On Septum04 Aug 2007 20:30 GMT8
For about a year now I have had a crust on my left septum.  My ENT
says the tissue is unhealthy and may have resulted from a long ago
rhinoplasty.  She told me to remove the crust only in a moist
environment (shower) so as not to harm the tissue further.  She gave
Xylitol and Sinusitis04 Aug 2007 17:45 GMT9
Here is a message I posted about a year ago.  Since I began the "sinus
steeping" procedure I have not had any sinus problems; this from a
former chronic sinus sufferer!  As I wrote, I hope this procedure
helps others.  For xylitol references see the papers I included last

Further foolishness04 Aug 2007 00:35 GMT17
Like a bulgery that did not happen because a big dog was there, it is
hard to prove that antibiotics prevent or do not prevent chronic
sinusitis unless those children are followed for a good number of
years.  But that does not keep them from focusing on the short term
Sinusitis and Nausea?02 Aug 2007 16:24 GMT6
I have been feeling really sick over the last few days, not been sick but a
nausea feeling in my stomach. I've also got a headache and a really stuffy
head with stuff going down the back of my throat now and then...do others
suffer with this from time to time?
told to use afrin, afraid of becoming addicted02 Aug 2007 06:59 GMT11
I saw a doctor yesterday to get information about a nose problem I've
been having for a few years. My problem is that I will go throughout
the day with nasal problems; either my left or right nostril will be
plugged up (never usually both) causing me discomfort. I was told to
