amoxicillin dosage19 Jul 2007 22:02 GMT17
I have some 250 mg Amoxicillin tablets. I know some people think that
another antibiotic is better for sinusitis but this is what I have for now.
Can anyone tell me what the dosage program would be for these? How many a
day?

Cold Intolerance and Hypothyroidism13 Jul 2007 02:24 GMT15
I am 36 years old and have been cold for most of my adult life (and not due
to being skinny or anemic).  I'm not sure when it started but it has
progressively gotten worse.  I live in the Northeast and have two space
heaters on in my office pretty much at all times.  I have ...

Does anyone have any advice for protecting your sinuses when you mow
the lawn?  There's a fellow who lives near me who wears what looks
like some kind of medical mask when he mows his lawn, but I don't know
if he has sinus issues.  Anyway, I'm just thinking about all the

Topical corticosteroid applied to face(right over the sinuses)?12 Jul 2007 06:36 GMT2
Is there any topical corticosteroid that come in a form that could be

skin and reduce the inflammation directly in the sinuses?  Even though
it may not be able to reach all the sinuses at least it could helpful
Irrigating with a solution that includes streroid?12 Jul 2007 03:59 GMT2
Seems like that might be a way to get the medicine deeper into the
sinuses where it could then relieve inflammation in there and not just
in the nasal cavities.  For people who benefit from oral steroids but
hate the side effects or don't want to risk sides effects (especially
Sinusitis symptoms11 Jul 2007 02:22 GMT1
Hey everybody, how are you doing? Do you think this is sinusitis. For
about 4 months i have had pressure on the left side of my face, mostly
by the cheek and feels like behind my left eye. My left nostril is
constantly plugged up, i did have headaches when i first woke up,
Polyps again (and some questions)10 Jul 2007 04:07 GMT1
in the past weeks I've made a bit of a progress, but unfortunately the
polyps (or polyp - I'm not sure if it is one or two) are still a major
issue. I was using Nasonex but came down with a horrible sore throat and
subsequent cold or flu for a week during which I stopped the use of

Thank you to all who have responded to my first letter.   When the
wind is beating on my face (on the tennis court, golf course, beach or
simply taking a walk) I immediately get a tingling or throbbing
sensation in my frontal and maxilary sinsuses.   I then know I will

Surgery versus medical treatment - no additional benefit?08 Jul 2007 22:10 GMT9
Does this source seem credible? It says surgery for chronic
rhinosinusitis may not give further benefit over medical treatment.

Wind causes inflammed Sinuses resulting in Infections.   Has anyone heard of this?07 Jul 2007 07:46 GMT6
I have had bad sinus infections for about 17 years.   After a year of
taking 11 antibotics for infections (about 13 years ago) I had sinus
surgery which helped for about nine months.   About 8 years ago I
realized I was getting infections after being in the wind.   The
