Nose bleeding question31 Jul 2007 04:22 GMT21
I have been blowing my too hard in recent times and today there was
bleeding from my right nostril after a hefty blow. I could also spit
out mucus with blood in it which has never occurred before. Needless
to say, I am quite anxious about this.

Nebulized (topical) antibiotics30 Jul 2007 17:28 GMT3
Anyone out there know of a pharmacy that dispenses nebulized
antibiotics, the kind inhaled through a little compressor machine? I
had luck with this in the past but the pharmacy, Sinulab in
California, went out of business. Would like to get them prescribed

Suggestions for chronic polyp growth28 Jul 2007 03:08 GMT1
I had FESS about 3 months ago, where my ENT removed several polyps and
cleaned out a chronic sinus infection.  Overall, I've been doing well, but I
think the polyps are slowly coming back.  The doc has me on twice-a-day saline
rinses and told me to use Nasonex twice a day.  When ...
Exaggeration of chronic sinusitis numbers?27 Jul 2007 17:27 GMT3
Most of the online articles I've read point to the roughly 30-40
million chronic sinusitis sufferers in the US alone. Surely that must
be an exaggeration. I myself am from Australia which supposedly is the
asthma capital of the world. I have yet to meet a fellow chronic
stent implant for nasal valve collapse27 Jul 2007 14:14 GMT7
I am planning to have surgery (implant of a stent) by a plastic
surgeon to repair nasal valve collapse which probably resulted from
one of my five surgeries over 15 years ago.  Although I have little
hope that this procedure will affect the poor quality (chronic
Maxillary Opacity25 Jul 2007 21:29 GMT12
A recent CT showed left side opacity of half my sinus cavity. The ENT
used a suction catheter and collected what tested as Pseudo
Aureginosa. I was prescribed Cipro for 10 weeks. A new CT showed no
change. Any thoughts as how to get rid of this bug? BTW one poster,

Is this sinusitis?24 Jul 2007 05:59 GMT51
I've got what I think is a sinus problem, but I'm confused.
Some background: I do have allergies to pollens and dust. I once was
told there were alot of eosinophiles lining my nose. I live in the
Northeast and during the winters my nose dries out and there is often
Need medicine to stop nasal drainage23 Jul 2007 12:14 GMT1
I'm a novice at this, but have a quick question.
At age 50, I developed a nasal drainage problem.
The drainage goes down the back of my throat and a lot of it ends up
in my lungs.   I think I may have a defect in the mechanism that
Why not email?22 Jul 2007 17:53 GMT2
I've been wondering this on and off for awhile now, and since I don't
work in a doctor's office, there's maybe something I'm missing -- why
don't doctor's offices use email?

Corticosteroid Nasal Spray ineffectiveness compared to oral or iv based?20 Jul 2007 02:10 GMT33
Why do oral and IV corticosteroids usually bring relatively much
stronger and immediate relief/reducing of inflammation/swelling where
the nasal spray based ones take much longer and generally much less
effective?  Is it because the active ingredients used in nasal spays
