recovery from sinus surgery30 Jun 2007 06:37 GMT4
Hi everybody --
I'm becoming increasing concerned over my progressive symptoms since
having FESS surgery on March 29.  My symptoms prior to surgery were
typical of those found in this forum: congestion, post nasal drip,
Dangers of oily sinus wash30 Jun 2007 00:16 GMT3
I read several time about risks for the lungs if something oily
goes to the lungs.
But I'm wondering:
What is the difference if I put let's say sunflowers oil in my sinuses or
How to irrigate29 Jun 2007 13:50 GMT5
The instruction sheet from my doctor say "irrigate the nostril.."  It

that.  Force the solution into the nostrils.
Feel awful after sinus irrigation??28 Jun 2007 06:44 GMT2
I think I am doing everything right.  I bought the kit from Walgreens.
The Neil Med kit. I use distilled warm water. Tilt my head over the
sink, squeeze a half bottle in one side and a half in the other. It
comes out of my mouth and then I feel deathly sick for the rest of the

I used to log on to the above group from the UK but can no longer. Is
it now defunct and has this group succeeded it.
Butyrate for autoimmunity: HDAC inhibitors activate regulatory T-cells28 Jun 2007 04:05 GMT11
Imagine my surprise when a recent search of the regulatory T-cell
literature turned up a vein of research on histones shortly after I
started taking sodium butyrate.  The vein is about a year old.  I could
kick myself for missing it.
Hydro Med & Grossan27 Jun 2007 23:43 GMT2
Has anyone had any bad experiences with HydroMed?  I found it listed in an
article and the link led to this: http://www.grossan.com/
I've seen it recommended on this and other boards but....
I called "customer service" and got some garbled recording.  I tried to buy
Sinus Surgery Recovery27 Jun 2007 21:59 GMT2
So I had sinus surgery almost 3 weeks ago and have a few questions
about recovery. I had turbinate reduction and endoscopy something...no
septum stuff...so it seemed pretty basic.
I was completely miserable for about a week and a half...not really in
How long before a polyp grows back27 Jun 2007 07:03 GMT1
I had surgery in January on my front left Max and a deviated septum
and now a different MRI shows the polyp is  back..or was never taken
out.
How long does it take a polyp to grow back?
Ping JudyN27 Jun 2007 02:54 GMT13
Judy, can you please post the references (an article of yours, too, I
think) showing the (in)accuracy of C-T for sinusitis?
I've just come home from a visit with a friendly, but dismisive ENT who
Sutra Neti - anybody tried this?27 Jun 2007 00:46 GMT6
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutra_neti

It involves inserting a string into the nostril and pulling it out from
the mouth, and is supposed to be a more advanced form of Yoga compared

Sinus Problems for 25 years24 Jun 2007 03:15 GMT11
I will spare you my life history except to say that I have had four
surgeries.  I am allergic to 140+ allergens on the screening panel
that they use.  I have been to an infectious disease specialist due to
the fact that I can't beat these infections.  I was told that I would
