I spend some time in a air-conditioned room. Is this due to sinusitis.
first bacterial sinus infection - a couple of questions31 Mar 2007 16:52 GMT5
I developed an acute bacterial sinus infection (frontal and behind
eyes) following a cold...waited 13 days (to make sure it wasn't viral)
to get first antibiotic. 10-day course of Augmentin helped a bit but
symptoms came back, worse.  Then prescribed cefpodoxime - had no

Do I have sinusitis, or am I just crazy?30 Mar 2007 05:28 GMT11
Since 2001 I have felt like this:
I feel like someone is resting a 1 or 2 lb weight on my forehead. I
feel tired all the time. I often zonk out and can't focus on a task at
hand. My attention span can be measured in milliseconds. I feel slower
Of Interest30 Mar 2007 04:01 GMT1
Was undergoing ultrasound on my back today (major problems there -- seperate
OT post).
Anyway, had to lie face down on table. Head was depressed below rest of body
due to shape of table.
Turbinate reduction surgery29 Mar 2007 06:19 GMT3
I made a post last week about having very swollen turbinates and a non-
ending sinus infection.  Levaquin is making me feel better, and today
I saw another ENT (I think he is somewhat respected, Dr. Kevin Lunde
of Plano TX, our local news did a piece on him).  He wants to go to

Indoor air quality27 Mar 2007 18:59 GMT3
I've read in a few places about the terrible quality of indoor air,
how according to one report it can be 7 times as bad as outdoor air.
I myself am supposedly not allergic to most indoor irritants, such as
dust mites and mold.  Even without allergies, does anyone here know if
I don't know what's wrong with me!27 Mar 2007 18:14 GMT6
I've looked up everything to see what's wrong with me and I can't find
a single thing; my doctor couldn't either. I don't know if it's simply
a sinus infection, but it's painful and I've had it for about four
weeks now, maybe even more.
Update / Fatigue in Chronic Sinusitis27 Mar 2007 02:23 GMT1
Thanks everyone for the replies to my post about fatigue.  I have had
a CT scan and it has been recommended that I have surgery since I've
tried all the treatments.  This will be my first sinus surgery and
having the surgery is a scary thought to me!   I have chosen Dr.
Fatigue in Chronic Sinusitis26 Mar 2007 22:55 GMT13
How much fatigue would someone have with long-term chronic sinusitis
with nasal polyps?  I have tried all the treatments (antibiotics,
nasal steroid, irrigation, nasal decongestants, allergy meds) and
can't tolerate prednisone because of bad reactions.  Could the fatigue

Can anyone clarify for me what is meant by nasal valve collapse and
what the treatment might be for this condition?
