endonasal tubes to breathe sufficiently ?19 Feb 2007 03:40 GMT1
First of all, please excuse my English.
I breathe sufficiently well during the day, but during the night, when
I should be sleeping pleasantly, my nose gets clogged, and I have
terrible apneas and sleep disorders.
Comic Relief?17 Feb 2007 22:19 GMT2
In desperation I penned this poem to my ENT (which of course didn't
help at all!)...Any ideas where to publish?  Or find help for this
condition?

Stopped blowing and sniffing ..Much better now...13 Feb 2007 05:04 GMT6
After a six month relapse and a 2 bottles of Flonaise I searched the net for
whether blowing and sniffing too much would aggravate my sinuses.  It seems
to be a little controversial - some say "Don't blow if you have a cold ,only
sniff" another said "Don't blow or sniff too hard"  ...
Post Nasal Surgery: Questions and Concerns13 Feb 2007 01:29 GMT3
Hoping someone can offer some insight: I had my deviated Septum fixed
6 weeks ago (right nostril). I also had my left Maxillary Polyp
removed. 3-4 weeks after I still couldn't breathe (right nostril) and
was still having sinus attacks. It is now 6 weeks out. I have had 3

Nasal voice following FESS11 Feb 2007 18:34 GMT3
I had FESS in November '06 and a 2nd (debridement procedure) in late
December '06, and now that I'm fairly healed up, I'm worried that my
voice has become excessively nasal forever. When I say anything with
"m" or "n" (words like "mine," "now," "mound," etc.), it's so
Morning Rhinitis09 Feb 2007 05:28 GMT4
My morning Rhinitis never fails.  I get up in the morning, my nose
starts to run.  It usually stops after about an hour or so but it
allways runs.  Sometimes, it is so bad that I take a Claratin tablet
to dry it up.  It seems like there is a connection between the
Its been years....09 Feb 2007 05:17 GMT2
Its been years since I have posted here. I did not know that Google
took over the Newsgroups and thought they were just a part of internet
history. A while back I visited Dr. Grossan's website and looked for a
link to see if the group was still around but couldn't find one. And
Sinusitis, Biofilms and Antibiotics07 Feb 2007 00:57 GMT7
For those of you with infections, you might be interested in the following
publications; they are fairly recent, the clinical microbiology folks have
been buzzing about biofilms for about 2 years (or more).  These publications
suggest that biofilms are the cause of chronic infection ...
Post-Surgery Missed Ostium Recirc & Maxillary Bone Formation05 Feb 2007 21:15 GMT1
Perhaps someone can answer some questions for me.  I had sinus surgery in
April ’05 on one side.  These surgical errors were made:
1)  Oversized maxillary opening (antrostomy) – about 1.5+ cm.
2)  Missed the normal maxillary opening (ostium) causing mucous recirculation
Help for Newbie03 Feb 2007 20:26 GMT2
Hello all, I came down with what I believe is sinusitis a few months
back after coming down with a cold.  Everyone around me was sick with
this cold and after it ran it's course I had symptoms of a sinus
infection.  The main symptoms were a totally clogged nasal passage by
Tanac02 Feb 2007 13:15 GMT10
I'm new to the group and don't know if anyone has done this, but after years
of sinus problems and very strange infections, I've discovered (out of
desperation) that a Q-tip of Tanac up the nose (and sometimes in my ears)
can work wonders.
Is this a sinus thing?02 Feb 2007 05:03 GMT2
About a year ago, I had a small cold and headache with the feeling
that the tubes inside my head were blocked. During that time, the left
side of my head hurt, and my left eye became bloodshot, as if
irritated. I awoke on several mornings to find my left eyelids stuck

How much water should I irrigate into each nostril?01 Feb 2007 01:57 GMT6
I'm using a Waterpik with a Grossan tip.  Would 250ml per nostril be okay?
Or would less be better (I think I read that if you do it for too long you
get rid of good bacteria)?
