Size of sinus openings31 Jan 2006 20:15 GMT1
I'm curious as to the size range of the openings to a 'normal'
maxillary, ethmoid and frontal sinus.  Am I correct in assuming that
most FESS procedures to open ostia will open them up 'more than
normal'?
Hiatel Hernia and Sinus31 Jan 2006 05:10 GMT3
I just found out that I have a Hiatel Hernia. The more that I am
researching this new find the more suspicious I am that this may be the
cause of all my sinus problems. Does anyone here have expereince with
Hiatel Hernia's?
Trying To Get Rid Of Sinus Infection29 Jan 2006 20:10 GMT22
I had a mild type sinus infection while having the flu.  I decided to
wait before going on
antibiotics.  I have tried hot teas, vitamins, irrigation, hot soups,
herbs etc. Then I caught
Off-topic; antibiotics, interactions with Seroquel27 Jan 2006 16:14 GMT9
I'm having a rough time getting an answer so I can make a decision on
whether to take antibiotics or not. I've got a very nasty little sinus
infection going - it's been lurking for about 4-6 days now and doesn't
seem like it's gonna go away. I'm just guessing it's not viral. today
Guaifenisen/Brands26 Jan 2006 18:34 GMT2
Do any of you have a favorite brand of guaifenisen? Seems like some are
better than others.

Where can non US residents buy the Grossan hydropulse?25 Jan 2006 11:40 GMT2
Hope this isn't a stupid question, but extensive googling reveals a
litany of sites that will only ship to the US.
I'm living in Dublin and am keen to try out the hydropulse, given the
high esteem for it.
Getting ready for surgery questions25 Jan 2006 04:30 GMT6
My sinus surgery with Hwang in Stanford is scheduled for Feb 11 and had
a few questions. He will be doing a septoplasty, ethymoidectomy, haller
cell removal, cyst removal, enlargement of the maxillary otia complex
(sorry for lack of technical terms, I haven't gotten the report yet).
sinusitis forums25 Jan 2006 02:04 GMT5
It seems to me that the number of participants in this forum is very
low compared to the high incidence of sinusitis. Are there any other
sinusitis forums on the internet with more traffic?
Thanks
N-acetyl-cysteine may deserve a second look.25 Jan 2006 00:41 GMT1
Years ago, I had tried N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) for its claimed mucolytic
properties,

but it didn't seem to have any effect on me.  So I gave it up.  But back
duration of irrigation23 Jan 2006 23:48 GMT2
Any opinions on the length of time a person spends
irrigating during one session.  I use a Neilmed
bottle and it takes several minutes.  What about
a long duration session.  What if I irrigated for

Ping: Steven L.23 Jan 2006 12:39 GMT7
Steven,
You and I have similar symptoms, as I have chronic post nasal drip causing
some bronchial problems that are very similar to asthma or emphysema, or
chronic bronchitis. My doctors have me using Albuterol if needed and
Balloon Sinuplasty23 Jan 2006 08:02 GMT17
Has anyone tried balloon sinuplasty? It recently became available. A
ballon catheter is inserted into the nostrils and inflated to widen the
ostia.
I have an appointment with Dr. Perter Hwang at the Standford Sinus
allergy tests, important step!21 Jan 2006 04:51 GMT14
I didn't know allergies could develop with time.  I tested negative
generally in 1992.  New testing found out that I'm allergic to dust mites,
mold, feathers, etc, which was definitely worsening my sinusitis!  SO,
along with February revision surgery and current ridding my bedroom, ...
Turbinate infection15 Jan 2006 14:52 GMT3
My MD gave me Cipro yesterday for this infection for 7 days, 2x a day.
I have to watch my intake of dairy products, caffeine, anti-acids and
certain vitamins. No Claritin either.
My eyes were affected that I could watch TV and read for a very short
