Sleeping with a scarf (non-fibre rich type) on my neck, I had much less sinusitis attack lately. 29 Nov 2005 19:03 GMT3
I feel my sinus is caused by cold air and dust. I live in the tropical, but
it

papaya enzyme27 Nov 2005 19:06 GMT2
Does anyone know how often you can use papaya enzyme?    I've been
trying it and it really seems to help thin the mucus, but I have to use
it about every 4 hours.   I am putting it between my cheek and gum.
Is that too often?   It isn't the Clear ease.  Would it work better?
Question regarding upcoming surgery - packing26 Nov 2005 00:51 GMT8
Ok, I've read through hundreds of messages, internet articles, etc. I
have adault onset asthma - it's gotten much worse after an anaphylactic
reaction to a allergy shot. I'm highly reactive to all inhaled
allergins except molds. I've had a chronically stuffed up nose for 10+

I have noticed after a heavy fat meal (such as Thanksgiving dinner)
I get a lot of head and throat mucus.  Can high fat foods cause heavy
congestion?

Sinusitis and sleep24 Nov 2005 06:47 GMT35
I have been labeled as having chronic sinusitis.  cat scans show "diseased"

sinuses are wider than others but even where wide they look murky or
cloudy so a recent ENT didnt think it would necesarrily help to ...

Ivker Book - Sinus Survival18 Nov 2005 03:09 GMT4
i guess it is inexpensive enough so i should probably just pick it up and
check it out for myself.  Perhaps I have gotten as much out of "western"
medicine that I can, but it sounds as if it will involve a regimen of some
time.  Has anyone followed through with the steps outlined?  ...
Polyps and blockage?18 Nov 2005 03:07 GMT5
I had a camera up my nose and the dr. said there were polyps. One was
large. I took rhinocort after taking OTC sprays that made me rebound. so
after a month of no OTC and got off them I breath better. Went back to
DR. He said The large polyp was smaller. Do polyps change sizes? Also
When to go the antibiotic route?17 Nov 2005 02:33 GMT9
Does anyone have any rules of thumb as to what point to resort to
antibiotic treatment?  We had a cold front move in the area yesterday
(35-40 degree swing) and I'm guessing the change in barometric pressure
is wreaking havoc on my sinuses.  Frontals are closed/semi-closed and a

Swollen turbinates14 Nov 2005 11:14 GMT6
I have had swollen turbinates for many years, permanently blocking a
nostril (which changes from side to side due to nasal cycles). I have
been to many ENTs over the years, who have prescribed cortisones that
had absolutely no effect. I also went for allergy testing, the results
