Some advice and Nasonex questions21 Nov 2004 03:17 GMT14
I just found this newsgroup when doing a Google search for Nasonex and I
thought I'd make a posting here.
I recently relocated to San Francisco from Austin, and have been absolutely
miserable (for lack of a better word) ever since. My sinuses have been
just wondering18 Nov 2004 19:55 GMT10
I am really just wondering what other peoples symptoms are like and
seeing if anybody has had experiences like me.  I posted a few days
ago asking for advice after suffering recurring sinus infections which
are now not responding to antibiotics.  My GP has referred me to ENT

Post-nasal drip - any solutions??18 Nov 2004 06:15 GMT18
My main problem seems to be post-nasal drip down the back of my throat,
with associated bad breath. Has anyone found anything to help relieve
this? Have tried everything from steam inhalations to saline irrigation,
without success...
Plugged sinuses18 Nov 2004 00:11 GMT6
I've been irrigating now for about a year and a half, which has helped
my sinuses some.  However, I still have a problem with sinus pluggage
when I lay down.  Within a matter of a couple of minutes after laying
down, my sinuses will plug right up.  When I get up, I'll be lucky if ...
Sinus Infection?17 Nov 2004 23:53 GMT3
I had to use AYR saline rinse a couple of times last night as my nose
felt full and could not get to sleep.
I tilted my head to the left when I sprayed, then I blew my nose and a
blood clot came out.
Sorry to bother you guys again, but......17 Nov 2004 11:27 GMT2
I feel like I'm at my wits end - I posted earlier on there under "A question
for those of you who might know the answer".
I have had a "sinus like" headache for 8 weeks now - symptoms include a very
warm forehead, and sinus pressure from all the areas associated with
"If there is drainage, Pulsatile Nasal Irrigation is an excellent way to remove pus and stimulate natural nasal function"17 Nov 2004 11:22 GMT2
I just read this, and I'm wondering if this is why irrigation didn't work
for me the first time around (I'm close to giving it a second shot).
Dishcarge and 'runniness' are not something I suffer with - stuffiness,
dreadful pain ... yes.
'Flixonase'17 Nov 2004 11:18 GMT3
I was just wondering if anyone's tried 'Flixonase' Nasule drops? (Not sure
what they're called in the US - on the packet it says 'fluticasone
propionate').
I was using the spray version, but these are effectively more of the same
Surgery to correct 'pinching' phenomenon due to overly flexable skin between the nostral and the top of the nose16 Nov 2004 12:23 GMT2
When consulting my ear-nose-and-throat doctor (in French, which means I
may not use the correct terms in this present message), the doctor
looked at me strangely after talking for about half an hour.  We were
going through the regular shpeal about how everyone has a deviated
A question for those of you who might know the answer!16 Nov 2004 06:32 GMT9
I just stumbled upon this newsgroup, and I figured I would give it a shot,
since nothing else is working.
I have had a "sinus-like" headache going on 7 weeks now.
A little background - I never had ANY allergy problems until I relocated to
Benzalkonium chloride - what can we do about it?16 Nov 2004 05:44 GMT4
As most everyone here knows, damn near every nasal spray you can find
OTC or via prescription contains the dreaded preservative benzalkonium
chloride, which many studies have noted that it alone can aggravate
the exact symptoms that these nasal sprays are designed to relieve.

Follow Up: Thrush & Sinus Connection16 Nov 2004 01:02 GMT4
Today I went to my GP and upon examination, she said that it appeared that I
had a sinus infection for, "at least six months, from what I can see."
(sidenote: I had initially went to see her about sinus problems in July,
2003, two months after I moved into the Mold Motel)  She ...
