this is my first post as I just registered and need some help and advice on nasal polyps. I have had a really heavy head cold for around about a week. After 3 to 4 days I, when wiping the inside of my left nostril, felt something

| Nose Polyps | 22 Jul 2004 17:41 GMT | 27 |
Hi, I'm new to this so bear with me. Just got back from the Dr. this afternoon and my polyps are back again. Had surgery 1st of Feb. - my ENT said he'd never seen so many polyps after the surgery. I did fine afterward for awhile but started back with my earlier smptoms, no smell ...

I have this incredibly awful full feeling in my ear - I literally just woke up with it - the onset was very sudden. I have tried Hydrogen peroxing it, it is definitely not a wax problem. I haven't done anything recently to suggest that I might have an

| RECONSTRUCTION OF THE TURBINATES | 22 Jul 2004 05:04 GMT | 3 |
Having had so many problems since my deviated septum surgery, and having gone to any number of doctors--with no assistance whatsoever--I called my ENT to ask again, did he do anything with the turbinates during the surgery. He said that he had done a reconstruction of the turbinates ...

| a never-ending story of sinus polyps | 21 Jul 2004 05:08 GMT | 20 |
The longevity and severity with which I've suffered sinusitis depresses me. Nothing has provided lasting relief. Polyps keep returning. I wonder if they will ultimately result in complications leading to my end. This may be unduly pessimistic, since I've never heard of a fatality

| Irrigating w/Cold Water? | 20 Jul 2004 03:19 GMT | 2 |
I heard about this and how it may shrink the membranes? Is there a benifit with irrigating with cold water once in a while? Or is it just a temporary relief? Thanx ;)

| problem with irrigator or water pik? | 18 Jul 2004 19:43 GMT | 2 |
I'm on my second water pik and second Grossan attachment. Can't get the water pressure to go beyond the second-from-lowest setting. It sputters at anything higher. Haven't used anything but water with these yet.

| Using Rhinocort and swallowing AND pushing mucus down | 16 Jul 2004 23:36 GMT | 3 |
Hey! :) Whenever I use Rhinocort, I can feel it at the back of my throat. But is it OK for me to swallow, spit, cough, or hack it up? Also, is it unsafe to push the excess mucus down using your throat to push it down rather than cough? (like swallowing, but only pusing down)

| brain abnormality? | 13 Jul 2004 19:13 GMT | 4 |
I went to another ent today to get a 2nd opinion on the smell that I get and how I can taste it. Biggest waste of my time. The ENT said I probably have a brain abnormality and that its something that cannot be fixed, therefore I must live with it. I dont know whether to be mad or ...

| nasal irrigation questions | 13 Jul 2004 19:09 GMT | 2 |
I have had sinus congestion most of my life, and have recently begun to irrigate, as I have found this very helpful, more helpful than drugs or sprays. I currently use a bulb syringe and find this does the job, but would

| Aspergillus fumigatus and non-surgical treatments | 13 Jul 2004 04:12 GMT | 11 |
I have recently been diagnosed after a number of years of sinus problems with Aspergillus fumigatus. I assume this is AFS. Rather than a number of surgeries to try and clear this I would like to know what the latest non-surgical treatments are and how effective they are.
