My problem is that I only started using Afrin after 5 years of
Two days post-op!18 Jun 2004 23:23 GMT2
had FESS sinus surgery and septoplasty two days ago. Feeling pretty
OK. Minimal pain except for coming out of anethesia, and got some
morphine for that-- good stuff. Only took one dose of Tylenol 3, and
very little regular Tylenol. Had the packing out yesterday-- that did
Flying?18 Jun 2004 19:09 GMT2
I was wondering if anyone on here can recommend either some techniques or
things to take to prevent pain while flying.  I not only experience it
during take-off and landing but throughout the flight as well.  I was told
decongestants like sudafed, otrivin nasal spray, and a ...
I'm back. No not really17 Jun 2004 15:30 GMT1
Just thought I'd post this link out there. The Lymies are getting the
idea. This is a link on how to make CS. I only like it because it's at
a Lyme sight. I also heard a great anecdotal story of a MS sufferer
who slowly recovered from her disease. She had to finnally do IV to
Anti-inflammatory diet and allergies17 Jun 2004 09:11 GMT12
Has anybody been able to make their inhalant allergies  better by changing
their diet?
I don't mean, finding hidden food allergies and intolerances.  And, I don't
mean by being on a weight-loss diet.  Fasting makes allergies less severe,
can you reccomend a UK dqctor?13 Jun 2004 21:53 GMT1

coming back. Can anyone here reccomend a UK specailist in this area who

'holistiacly' ie diet, lifestyle and so on as well as underlying physical
Anything better than Breathe Right strips?13 Jun 2004 17:28 GMT8
I'm curious if there are any medical devices out there designed to simply
widen the nostrils.  Something like a coil type contraption that would
expand inside the nostrils and open it up? Something like that would allow
far more airflow than strips.
does ionic breeze work?13 Jun 2004 14:54 GMT2
I have a HEPA filter in my office, which doesn't help at all.
My dust mite allergy is out of control despite the usual measures
(plastic-encased bedding, hot water sheet/duvet washing, vinyl floors
instead of carpet, etc).

Why do inflamed sinuses feel so bad ?13 Jun 2004 01:45 GMT25
This might feel like a strange question - but maybee sometimes the
'obvious' questions are overlooked. Or perhaps I'm just strange in wanting
to know. Anyway..
I have chronic rhinosinusitis. I know that from the CT Scan and from the

post-Septoplasty12 Jun 2004 18:50 GMT2
I have had a permanently blocked nose for about 7 years. What happens
is that one nostril is always clear, whilst the other is blocked (and
it changes from side to side). My ENT made me do a CT scan which
showed that I had a deviated septum. He said that septoplasty would
Sinus Surgery11 Jun 2004 19:41 GMT10
I am new to this board. I am wondering who has had sinus surgery with
success. Three month's ago I had my septum straighten, my turbinates
cut smaller and submucus cleaning (or something like that). It was the
best thing I have every done. Now, I can actually breath for the first
Allergens In Fabric / Hope11 Jun 2004 08:21 GMT5
Hi all from New Zealand,
After suffering in silence for a long time, I've decided to ask some
questions. First a hopefully short summary.
As newlyweds my wife and I moved into cheap rental accomodation, lived
Cilia and post-nasal drip11 Jun 2004 04:27 GMT2
Let me see if I have got this right:-
The Cilia move fluid to the back of the throat, so post nasal drip as
