WHERE TO BUY HYDRO PULSE16 May 2004 05:36 GMT2
Thought I would drop the group my thoughts on the Hydro Pulse.  It is
a pricy unit but very good and actually offers a good value when
considering all the components included.  Downside is Dr. Grossan's
company, Hydro Med is very unresponsive and not very professional.
Question for Steven L.15 May 2004 03:28 GMT3
Have you had surgery for your sinuses?
Alkazol?15 May 2004 00:23 GMT4
My doctor mentioned the name of a liquid solution that mixes with
water for use in nasal irrigation. I thought he said Alkazol, but I've
found not mention of it online. Any ideas what he might have meant?
Thanks.
Update II : Somnoplasty 25 days ago14 May 2004 15:59 GMT9
Short update to the  somnoplasty on my turbinates, now 25 days ago.
Unfortunately, I am no better. My turbinates still swell, first one side
than the other. When one side is swollen, it is as bad or worst than
before, causing significant pressure, nasal blockage and pressure behind
SINOFRESH ????11 May 2004 18:33 GMT4
Anybody ever try this stuff ?
It claims to be an antiseptic spray with an active ingredient
of Cetylpryridinium Chloride (0.05%).
It also claims to kill mold and bacteria.
do engorged turbinates respond to steroid sprays?11 May 2004 17:14 GMT7
When I lie down, I get this pressure sensation in my nose and within
seconds breating in both nostrils becomes difficult. My ENT points to
enlarged turbinates, and says that this will have to be surgically
corrected. In the meantime, will the sprays help with the congestion?
2 mos. post FESS, "stuffy" feeling11 May 2004 00:48 GMT3
I had a surgery on both sinus, but the one that was the worst of the
two still feels "stuffy"...my Doc says it is likely due to dryness
because it is now "wide open" and getting so much more air.
I am now doing Ponaris oil drops and Alkalol irrigation with a bulb
Tried the Neti - questions:10 May 2004 10:44 GMT6
OK, I got brave enough to open the package, read the instructions, and
take it all upstairs to a secluded bathroom.  I waited til the weekend
just in case something went terribly wrong - I was so paranoid about
this!
Rhinocort Dosing - On and Off?10 May 2004 10:44 GMT7
Hi.  Finally broke down and saw an ENT doctor yesterday to try and get
to the bottom of my constant ear fullness and dizziness.  By looking
in my ears, nose, and throat, he determined that the left eustachian
tube is too narrow, and the left passage from nose to tear duct is too
Toothache09 May 2004 19:44 GMT7
As a newcomer to this newsgroup, I don't know if this topic has been covered
so please bear with me.
I've suffered on and off with sinusitis for years and indeed just finished
my second course of anti-biotics in 3 weeks for this, having seen that
submucous resection - doctor selection08 May 2004 06:36 GMT6
It seems that the bad outcomes of SMR are due more to poor surgical skill
(bad doctor selection) than due to poor patient selection on their behalf,
with poor patients being those with anatomical idiosyncracies or histories
that should have excluded them.
Decongestant for diabetics07 May 2004 04:57 GMT1
I've got Type-2 Diabetes, and, have been told not to use regular
decongestants, as they can cause eye problems.  I'm often congested,
so...what are others using?
Thanks!
Hydro Pulse--Where to buy?07 May 2004 04:33 GMT2
As I recall, Dr. Grossan posted a link to form for doctors to fill out
& be submitted to an insurance company to get the Hydro Pulse paid for
by insurance.  What is the link?
Where can I buy the Hydro Pulse online?  Anyone know if it is
submucosal resection of inferior turbinates07 May 2004 04:30 GMT1
My ENT has recommended this.  Laser reduction did nothing for me.  My only
concern is the potential for empty nose syndrome (ENS).  I know that ENS
occurs more often with complete turbinectomies, but I've read that it can
occur with SMR too after a few years.  Any comments ...
Opinions on Murray's irrigation kit?06 May 2004 16:56 GMT10
Could someone other than Murray please say what they think of the
effectiveness of Murray's irrigation kit, as compared with, say, a simple
'squirt' bulb available from Wal-Mart, or sniffing water from the palm of
your hand.
