I thought that I would tell you about my own sinus problems and what I have done to rectify the situation. I first started getting chronic problems in the summer of 1989, featuring severe headaches, nasal discharge, etc, almost all of the time. Antibiotics

I am a person that suffers from a chronic low-level sinus infection. Drugs don't touch it, so I am doing irrigation with my neti pot as the doctor directed. Thinking that there had to be a better way, I have been researching different systems. How do you know which type of ...

I will try to give enough info in this post to get a discussion going. We can deal with one or two issues at a time or it will get too involved. Probably the most important issue is that of BKC, the preservative. In a recent article in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Sugery-Jan 2004 a ...

| Somnoplasty? | 15 Apr 2004 04:26 GMT | 4 |
My ENT is recommending Somnoplasty vs. laser surgery to reduce my very very enlarged inferior turbinates. There seems to be some controversy about Somnoplasty in the web literature etc. It seems like a good bet to me -- minimally invasive and preserves

| Suggestion For Dr. Grossan: Distinguishing Sinusitis From Lower Respiratory | 15 Apr 2004 04:22 GMT | 1 |
In my experience, physicians often can't tell whether a cough that brings up sticky sputum is sinusitis, bronchitis, or asthma. Perhaps a patient could irrigate with a solution containing a "tagging" chemical like a harmless dye, or saccharine, or maybe something mildly

The alt.support.sinusitis FAQ has not been updated in over 3 years and so it is badly in need of revision. Version 5.1, published 2001, is auto-posted here periodically. It was maintained by Reid Goldsborough. But since he has left this NG,

Hi, I have a problem where only my right nostril is able to breathe in and out. It seems that my left nose has an extra cartilidge in it. With this in mind, if I want this corrected, is there anything OTHER than surgery? I have a BC Carecard and I'm not sure if that'll cover
