Biopsy Results Question26 Feb 2005 17:57 GMT1
My last DRE revealed a "grainy" pea-sized, nodule on my prostate and
a PSA >1    . So my urologist suggested I have a biopsy which,
thankfully, revealed no tumor in any of the 16 samples taken.
I was, however, surprised to find that the pathology report failed to
Feeling of 'drop' right after urinating24 Feb 2005 16:21 GMT1
Sometimes right after urinating I feel as though urine 'drops' into some
sort of little holding area... it's not really painful, just slightly
uncomfortable... If I go to urinate, I can usually pass a little
(presumably that little bit)... if I just ignore it.. it usually doesn't ...

I went to the doctor today and he said my prostate was "soft". My
question is what does soft means? Is it something bad, should I
worried?

epididymitis, Vasectomy and prostate drainage18 Feb 2005 17:49 GMT1
Does the prostate drain through the vas deferens tube?  From what
little I remember from anatomy in college, the answer is yes.
If so, given that my doctor says I have epididymitis, could drainage
from the prostate be related to the epididymitis, given that I had a
Single Pill Multi Herbal Supplements17 Feb 2005 11:16 GMT21
These should be avoided, in my opinion, for the following reasons:
1. They usually contain powdered ingredients which are inferior to
liquid caps (ex. Saw Palmetto).
2. They can cause harmful interactions (ex. Saw Palmetto & Papain as in
Is prostate removal a viable option?14 Feb 2005 20:46 GMT1
I'm frustrated by the daily pain that I'm experiencing, and I refuse to
accept that I have to "live with it."  At 29 years old, I don't feel like I
have to deal with searing prostate pain, lower back pain, and urinary
difficulties.  I'm still comitted to giving the drugs a chance ...

Any hope for a cure?07 Feb 2005 00:55 GMT3
I'm 29 and have been suffering for two years now.  My DO perscribed Levaquin
first, then Avelox, then Cipro & Flomax, then Bactrim.  I took each one
religiously for the 4-6 weeks to reduce the imflamation to no avail.  I've
been to two Urologists that tell me I don't have ...
