Still incontinent 10 months after prostatectomy.12 May 2008 06:47 GMT7
I'm rather concerned because I'm still incontinent 10 months after
having a RP by Da Vinci robotic surgery in London, back in July 2007.
The RP operation in itself appears to have been successful because all
three of my PSA tests done at 3 month intervals since the op have come
Unlurking.........12 May 2008 06:42 GMT27
My husband Kevin was dx with aggressive prostate cancer on March 4,
2008.  I have been lurking here since that day and have found lots of
very helpful information.
March 4th, the day we got the dx, he started one month of Casodex. Two
HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound)11 May 2008 23:50 GMT6
HIFU Notes
I haven't seen much in this group about HIFU, but after my 6 weeks of
research into my treatment options, I have decided to undergo HIFU.
I'll try and update this group again after the procedure
Radiation for bone mets, 1 week update.11 May 2008 19:23 GMT56
After the Planning Session using their GE Lightscan, Monday AM and
clearance to proceed from JHU, I started the first of 14 palliative
radiation sessions on Inova's Trilogy linear accelerator.
I was on 4 mg decadron 3X day and 10/235 percocet 2X day over the
Brief Report from the Lab Rat.10 May 2008 23:07 GMT8
My PSA is back up to 18, it was 12 about five weeks ago.   This is on
Lupron and after the radiation to my spine.
The back pain continues to fade, my appetite and stomach are improving
but I'm taking Zantac-150 2X day.
Going Intermittent10 May 2008 23:02 GMT5
I have decided to go on to intermittent HDT after 14 months on Eligard (6
months) then Luperon (8 months).  My latest PSA (today) is another
undetectable (< 0.05).
I KNOW that the jury is out on the continuous versus intermittent question
MRSI, and Gadolinium10 May 2008 16:30 GMT15
I'm being asked to take part in a study at UCSF where they do an MRSI
on me.  They also want to use a contrasting agent called Gadolinium.
I wasn't told at the time that some of this is considered
experimental.  I'm now reading that in some documents they sent me.
How to decrease the yearly psa anxieties?10 May 2008 11:13 GMT9
Every year I get my PSA checked, and every year I get anxious awaiting
the results...It's maddening because I don't have PCa, although my
father died of it, so I know what it can bring. Is it worthwhile to
get it checked yearly if it causes me a month of anxiety? I had it
What will I need first week post-surgery10 May 2008 04:14 GMT6
Someone posted a very useful list of items needed post-surgery.
I'm just wondering what I'm going to need while the catheter is still
in.  I'm not going to have any leakage then, am I?  Just wondering,
besides the pants and bucket, what's the top ten things to have before
