DRE after RP27 Feb 2009 03:09 GMT3
I'm three years out since my RP. Still posting <0.1's although on my

In spite of the fact that I have, seemingly, become somewhat complacent,
I still "look forward" to my now annual visits to the urologist.  Better
late (by about two months) than never I visited him last month and left

A good friend had external radiation without chemo 3 years ago.  35-40
treatments following an increasing PSA.  At that time he was 80 years old.
I don't know what PSA dropped to after treatment.  But after 1 1/2 years his
PSA has risen (every 6 months tested) to 15.  At his age ...

Question about age and prostate cancer.23 Feb 2009 23:51 GMT16
There are really 3 questions I have:
I recently read something about people having older fathers having an
increased risk for early onset of prostate cancer. If your father is
older at the time of your conception, you have a slightly increased
Increased cancer research in the stimulus package23 Feb 2009 17:28 GMT8
The U.S. National Institutes of Health will receive an extra $10.4
billion for 2009 and 2010 from the economic stimulus.  A portion of
that will go to NCI, which has seen a very significant drop in total
funding over the last several years.
