In the recent "deciding not to treat pc" thread, Steve Kramer mentioned many
of the people who have participated here.  I am giving an update, as he did

My PSA is back up to 18, it was 12 about five weeks ago.   This is on
Lupron and after the radiation to my spine.
The back pain continues to fade, my appetite and stomach are improving
but I'm taking Zantac-150 2X day.

In Nov. '04 I had a PSA of 7 and a biopsy confirmed PCa. Gleason 3+4=7
I had an open RRP by Dr. Catalona here in Chicago on 3/21/05.
The pathology put the Gleason at 3+3=6
Small tumors in each lobe...10% of total mass.

    It is with much relief that I can report a new number of 0.5, still on
Lupron and Casodex, and still having a great time living the good life
as a retired man. The increase from the previous .4 to the current .5

Had brachy 12 months ago. After 6 months, PSA was .5. After 12 months,
it has gone to 2.8. I note in this NG that others have had "bumps" like
this and the PSA eventually went down. Will see urologist this week to
discuss results. Fingers crossed.

My latest PSA, 4.5 years after radiation treatment, is .13.
That's down from .21 at the previous reading.
