ED and heart problems24 May 2008 15:45 GMT8
CNN had their doc do a story on erectile dysfunction and the increased
incidence of heart problems. According to the story it seems that ED is
a predictor to future heart problems by a factor of 2X. So, my question
here is, actually I don't have a question, just calling out ...

Ham Jordan, RIP24 May 2008 13:00 GMT1
A few days ago, Hamilton Jordan (who wanted his name pronounced
"jerdan") died of mesothelioma. It was one of three cancers with which
he had had to cope.
He was a politician, but nevertheless a brother. His three cancers were

 Thursday, May 15, 2008             14:35 PDT
Evidence is growing that vitamin D, which the skin makes from sunshine, is linked to lower risk of breast cancer and other cancers.
But that doesn't mean it's good to get a golden tan -- ...

Trying to research Proton Beam Therapy.  Just started considering it as an
option to a prostectomy (scheduled for Mid June) so time is of the essence.
If anyone has some usefull links,  I be grateful to see them.

really tired, need to go feeling23 May 2008 11:10 GMT6
I have problems with energy anyway, but I'm really tired today.  Seems
different.  No fever.  Don't seem to be passing that much urine, and
have a sort of need to go feeling.
Can all these be related?  Is there just one inlet hole in the
How to decrease the yearly psa anxieties?23 May 2008 06:00 GMT11
Every year I get my PSA checked, and every year I get anxious awaiting
the results...It's maddening because I don't have PCa, although my
father died of it, so I know what it can bring. Is it worthwhile to
get it checked yearly if it causes me a month of anxiety? I had it

4th Anniversary21 May 2008 02:28 GMT8
Today is the 4th anniversary of my open RRP. PSA still <0.1. I may have to
sip a little red wine later.
My thanks to everyone on the ng who helped me over the past four years,
particularly the trying times just after my surgery. I don't post much
I'm back from the robot attack.21 May 2008 02:26 GMT24
Feeling like an ad for a Vegamatic.  Actually I'm not that bad.  Pain
is way less than I thought it would be.
Urine bag is annoying, not tremendously so.  Finding a good sleeping
position that can drain the catheter and accommodate my sleep apnea
Urinating around the catheter21 May 2008 01:56 GMT7
I'm noticing that, probably only during bowel movements, I'm passing
urine through the  penis too, not just the catheter.  Just a little,
less than half a teaspoon, but it is tinged pink.
I'm assuming things are ok, but is this of concern?
HDR Brachytherapy, Cyberknife, and nerve sparing20 May 2008 18:50 GMT3
I consulted with Dr. Demanes (www.cetmc.com) about HDR brachytherapy
(temporary Iridium-192 implants).  Has anyone here been treated by
him, and how was the experience if so?  He did indicate sexual SE rate
could be up to 50%; other SEs less than with permanent seeds due to

I'm using ky, but that sh.t dries and becomes sandpaper.  Are there
any other lubricants I can use which won't degrade the catheter
material, yet won't "turn on me".
