| Why 18 cores instead of 12? | 07 Apr 2008 09:20 GMT | 9 |
Im going in for a prostate biopsy in 2 weeks or so. The Urologist says he wants to do 18 sticks. Most people I have spoken with have never had more that 12. So far as I know, there is nothing special about my

I have a slowly rising psa the past several months. I also have lung nodules which have not grown larger since I added Casodex to my Eligard injections. I will be going to the oncologist in a couple of weeks. My psa had gone up from 1.0 to 1.3 when I visited with him the last ...

Has anyone had this therapy? What were the results, collateral damage? Is it so expensive that most insurers won't cover it? Any experience with Loma Linda?

| 6 months down | 06 Apr 2008 06:01 GMT | 10 |
Today is my 6 month anniversary of my RP. Everything went well. My recovery was very quick - I went flyfishing the third day after my catheter was removed - and my PSA is now undectable. Other than a nasty case of the shingles 5 monts post RP, this has been as

I posted some numbers and questions awhile back (what do I do to get on this list) about my PCa. I haven't posted much more as I am really not that knowledgeable about the subject. But since my original recommended treatment by urology, hormone suppressant

| During surgery recovery | 04 Apr 2008 16:59 GMT | 23 |
I'm reading Walsh's book right now, and he's going into things one needs to do to prevent deep vein thrombosis during recovery. One, if I remember correctly, is to sleep with the legs elevated. This would indicate I need to sleep on my back, which I can't because of

| Imaging | 03 Apr 2008 16:46 GMT | 21 |
I'm wanting some imaging before choosing an oncologist. My urologist says I need to chose an oncologist before I can get imaging. That makes no sense whatsoever. Do some oncologist only rely on certain types of imaging?

| Fears ramping up | 02 Apr 2008 23:08 GMT | 36 |
I've been doing fairly good since, and even before, my diagnosis. It's not the knowns that get me. It's the unknowns. Right now the unknowns are: Has it spread (initial indications are that it has not), and, will my plumbing work after the surgery?
