Change in PSA range?24 Jan 2008 19:40 GMT11
Curious as to others experiences/opinions.
I'm 63 years old with BPH (large).
Over the last 3 years my PSA numbers have ranged (no trend) from 2.8 to
3.4 with the last at 2.9 in July of this year until now.
hello, and a PSA report24 Jan 2008 00:41 GMT2
I haven't posted for a long time.  The fall term here was pretty hectic, as
I was teaching in our Freshman Studies program.  A mathematician teaching
about the Spanish conquest of Mexico?  Hmmph!
This term will probably be a whirlwind, too, as I'm preparing for the
RT vs. RT + ADT23 Jan 2008 02:34 GMT1
By D'Amico et al in JAMA, 2008;299(3):289-295.

Pee Blood After Sex22 Jan 2008 22:38 GMT2
I had prostate surgery in Nov. 2006. This week I began to lift weights
and that night I used viagra and had sex. I woke up peeing blood and I
assumed it was maybe the viagra because I seldom use the pills. So I
worked out yesterday and had sex again last night, with no viagra.
A wee poll - daily pad count, post-RP22 Jan 2008 21:50 GMT44
I fear newbies or lurkers may take an unnecessarily downbeat view of
post RP continence prospects after I.P.'s 'surprising' post so, if
anyone feels like chalking up their outcome here.....?

Busy Group!22 Jan 2008 21:19 GMT4
I just returned from a short trip to Costa Rica only to find 532 new posts
in this newsgroup!
I imagine there are some important and interesting gems among them but I
can't bring myself to read them all.

Managing Loss of bone Density22 Jan 2008 17:55 GMT10

Post brachy urination experiences22 Jan 2008 09:35 GMT6
I'm about 90 days post brachy, and my urination is (to my thinking) odd.
The doc put me on flomax (1) and that didn't work all that great.  He
then went to two which works some better.  He left it up to me if I
wanted one every 12 hours or two every 24.  I've tried it both ways.
Ref: Surprising post-RP19 Jan 2008 22:02 GMT1
I believe Peter Headland probably hit it on the head when he said, "This
group is self-reflecting to be more technically literate and questioning
than the population at large". Many here probably fit into a subset of
individuals that are more educated and even a little more ...

Cryotherapy19 Jan 2008 18:07 GMT9
I'm a 59 year old from New Zealand and was diagnosed approx 3 years
ago with PSA of 10.5 and a Gleeson of 3+4=7.  Since that time, I've
had EBRT in January/February 2005 over a period of 7 weeks.  PSA
levels came down to 1.4 after the Radiation.
New stats for Steve Kramer - not good19 Jan 2008 15:36 GMT15
In August 2007, Henry's PSA was up, from 0.2 to 1.7 and he was put on
Casodex in addition to the Lupron.   By mid-December, the PSA had risen
to 13.  He was taken off Casodex on December 31 and started on Dilaudid
and Decadron.  After a 5-day hospital stay, he starts radiation
