Cured? Nah....22 Nov 2007 04:43 GMT7
Lol.... I post a similar thought with every passing years good PSA report.
This one makes almost 5 1/2 years.  The anxiety level was so high, that I

wonder how the hormone therapy is going to effect my quality of life

any help from it.  The off period I just enjoyed, my vacation from
Lupron, has been great in a lot of ways, but it is over.  Even have

Some radiation studies20 Nov 2007 03:01 GMT4
There seems to be no end to the publication of dueling studies by
surgery and radiation practitioners.
We were treated to some recently claiming that surgery is
superior to radiation.  Here are some at the Medscape website

Joe Nuxhall 1928-200718 Nov 2007 16:54 GMT6
Joe Nuxhall, prostate cancer survivor, had died at 79.
I do not know how popular Joe Nuxhall is outside of the Ohio, Indiana, and
Kentucky (though he is second to none within the tri-state) or who even
heard of him outside the United States, but he was one of the most
GP overrules Professor on BMDT18 Nov 2007 03:03 GMT19
You may have picked up in my post in a thread from Mike HIFU, that my
Rad Onc Registrar referred to the Consultant (a Professor) and then
sent me home with a 20% compression area in my spine.
I casually mentioned this to my GP (pcp) whilst picking up a truckload
Update from skeptic...not good17 Nov 2007 22:51 GMT27
Well after dosing myself with enough sedatives to muster up the nerve
to go through with the biopsy (after the third different uro strongly
suggested it), I met for a consultation and as I expected (from my
high psa of 14 which has doubled in 7-8 months), my gleason is 7 (4+3)
Carrots, eggs and coffee....17 Nov 2007 06:30 GMT4
A carrot, an egg and a cup of coffee...
You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.
A young man went to his mother and told her about his life and how
things were so hard for him.   He just found out that he had prostate

...and my psa reading today was 0.1. I meet with my rad onc tomorrow to
see what she has to say about how things are progressing. I'm curious to
see when she will schedule by next psa.
