Latest PSA Result19 Jun 2007 21:07 GMT2
Jim just had his six month check-up again...and his PSA is .02, which
the doctors are very happy about.  This is now more than four years
post surgery and almost two years post salvage radiation.  We are
truly thankful for the good news.  Just checking in!
My IMRT Experience18 Jun 2007 18:27 GMT4
All:
I've been checking in on this group for three months now.  When I was
trying to make a decision concerning treatment I had a great interest
in hearing about other fellows' experiences - now I'll share mine.

HT one month without17 Jun 2007 21:41 GMT22
I had my last shot of Lupron/enantone on the 10th of february 2007. I used
one shot every 3 months for nine months. Now doctor says to stop for a while
and monitor next PSA tests: wondering: I am still getting hot flushes
several time a day with perspiration while during night ...
All tests are in - unable to pinpoint cancer location17 Jun 2007 00:24 GMT39
Thought I would send a quick update on Allen. He's now had the bonescan,
the CT scan and an ultrasound and biopsy.  We know the cancer is there -
somewhere - but can't find it.  Now we need to decide whether to go ahead
with radiation (hoping it is in the prostate bed) or try ...

In memory15 Jun 2007 15:09 GMT2
I was just explaining to someone off line how I had so much help from this
group early in my cancer fight.  Chief among them were Leonard Evens, Berky
the Warrior, and Robert Young.  I had a passing thought that maybe I am
filling the shoes of one of those who has passed on.  I ...
newest psa and tests15 Jun 2007 01:19 GMT11
I haven't been around much so this will be short. In Mar. my psa had
gone up to .78 from a .05 in Dec. Then in april  it was 1.25. In late
May it showed to be 1.80. The onc ordered a bone scan and a pelvic
abdomen scan. I am, today, in San Antonio. I'm scheduled to see a Dr.
Amateur Radio14 Jun 2007 22:27 GMT32
Just wondered if any of you out there are Amateur Radio Operators?   I
got my first license in 1961, but currently do not have a station due to
antenna restrictions.  Guess in the modern world of computers and internet
we are a vanishing breed.

incontinence and swimming12 Jun 2007 18:35 GMT16
I've had the artificial sphincter implant, so I can get by on a medium
pad for almost 24 hours. However, I would like to be able to go
swimming again. I did a search for waterproof incontinence pants. The
site that I found didn't have anything for us old fat guys. Can anyone
continence results:  RRP vs. LRP12 Jun 2007 17:59 GMT3
I'm having a conversation with a man contemplating treatment, and he
said his uro told him that men who get a RRP regain their continence
faster on average than do men who have a LRP.  Has anyone heard this?
Is this backed up by any research you've heard about?
