Hi Steve, got some new numbers for you. Current psa is 1.1. After a long discussion with my doctor, I am not going back on Lupron at this time as was originally decided when I went hormone refractory back 6+ months ago. At that time we agreed that my "vacation" from Lupron ...

Here is a selection from a NYT article: After his annual physical, a middle-age man is told that his PSA level has jumped to 2.3 after having been stable for years at 1.5. Should he be alarmed?

| Tests Results - Unremarkable | 09 May 2007 16:16 GMT | 6 |
We got Allen's test results back today (bone scan and CT Scan) and both were "unremarkable." From what Steve said earlier, I wasn't surprised or relieved. Since Allen's PSA is only 0.26 it sounds like it would have been surprising if something had shown up. Well, maybe it is ...

| Colonoscopy | 08 May 2007 01:28 GMT | 9 |
I hade external beam radiation for PC three years ago. It is now ten years from my last colonoscopy (I am 70) and my GP says to check with the oncologist before doing. He says there are cases where the radiation weakens the colon, and a colonoscopy might lead to a perforated colon.

| cyberknife? | 07 May 2007 00:34 GMT | 7 |
I gave a talk today to my colleagues here about prostate cancer. One of them brought up the Cyberknife, asking if I knew anything about its use in treating PCa. The only thing I know is that there seems to be a 2006 study done in Korea that shows it is a viable option for PCa

OK so here is my story; I have been having symptoms of either PC or BPH. My PSA ended up being 7.1 (I am 54, am not in a statistically high risk group and have never had any PC in my family).

| Test Day - An Update | 05 May 2007 17:53 GMT | 8 |
We had our doctor's appointment last Thursday and he confirmed that Allen's post-prostatectomy reading of 0.26 was an indicator of cancer return (prostatectomy was 2.5 years ago, 3+4, capsular penetration but clear margins - he's 53). Today was test day, a full body bone scan and a

I've just read a post on another board which states that this gentleman's Uro told him to do 200 Kegels per day. He'd supposed to do 20 reps at a time, holding for 4-5 seconds. He claims that this regimen has helped him show marked improvement to
