Is this group merely HealthForums.com in disguise?23 Jan 2007 01:07 GMT6
I was a little suprised to see a thread discussion I started  here,
appear in www.HealthForums.com. Is this Google group just a front for
HealthForums? I don't really mind the convienience but it seems that
there are more threads under HealthForums.
Side effects or something else?22 Jan 2007 23:50 GMT6
Kent had his brachytherapy JULY 2006.  Good recovery with massive frop
in PSA to 1.1 from 19.7 pre treatment.
Before he started treatment he was having dizzy spells perhaps twice a
day, but now is experiencing five a day.  Nothing untoward detected.
mistletoe/iscador22 Jan 2007 20:49 GMT8
In a recent issue of Lillipoh Journal (an anthroposophical health
magazine), a naturopath  claims that mistletoe injections have
suppressed his androgen independent prostate cancer.  He had not
responded to ablation therapy prior to using Iscador.

Directly after the surgery he had a little bad
feeling in the big toe, now he has pains up to
PSA tests at the frug store22 Jan 2007 00:24 GMT2
I noticed some self testing kits behind the counter at my local CVS
pharmacist and asked to look at the one which said "prostate".  It
turned out to be a PSA test.  You prick you finger, collect a blood
sample somehow, and send it to a lab.   I didn't check to see if you

While I'm at it, I would like to again remember:
Maynard Berkowitz of Minden, Nevada; born 1930 and died a warrior's death,
January 18, 2004.
Sorry, I forgot your anniversary, Berky.

Rising PSA after radio therapy.21 Jan 2007 00:28 GMT3
After declining surgery when aged 71 and not being as eminently  suitable
for Brachy Therapy, as my Uro. first thought, when a small congenital cyst
was detected on my prostate during internal ultra-sound, I had conformal
Radio Therapy towards the end of 2001.  My PSA was 28 ...
It's Been 12 years20 Jan 2007 18:24 GMT14
It's been 12 years since I had a Radical Prostatectomy and life is
good. I have been 100% continent since 6 weeks post op and sexually
active since 10 weeks post op. When I was first dx'd I started to
participate in this alt.support.cancer prostate group and credit it
4th annual: Is melanoma simply a Vitamin D deficiency cancer?20 Jan 2007 16:17 GMT4
TO: All melanoma researchers, doctors, and patients.
I may be an electrical engineer, but I have more than just a hunch that
melanoma is a Vitamin D deficiency cancer.  Please consider the
following.
Anyone get re-seeded?20 Jan 2007 03:25 GMT6
On another thread ("What should I be asking the urologist tomorrow?")
Ron raised the possibility of getting a contour map of the prostate
showing where all the seeds were planned to go and where they
actually are after seeding, revealing any "hot" or "cold" spots, i.e.,
Health-Food Store Trauma20 Jan 2007 02:57 GMT37
I have been really down for a couple of days because I felt like I got
scammed at the health food store.   It wasn't so much about money as a
loss of trust.  I have no choice but to tell this story in detail,
because I don't think it'll come across in an "abridged" version.
