8 months post robotic RRP01 Aug 2006 00:00 GMT5
I scanned the recent postings, but have seen nothing regarding complications
following a robotic RRP - has anyone had any?
First the really good news; PSA zero, also zero incontinence. Now the bad
news; three bladder infections so far, and recently diagnosed with ostitis

on tuesday i had my first PSA level done since i had a radical
retropubic prostatectomy done in early march. the current level is
0.1...it seems that this level should be 0, since i have no gland to
secrete any antigen. does this mean that there has been metastasis and
Pos/Neg Margins30 Jul 2006 10:05 GMT7
When a surgeon performs a RP, how do they determine where to make the
margin, so as to better insure that the margin is negative ? Do they
sample tissue during surgery, to see where the cancer stops?
Urine flow post catheter removal29 Jul 2006 19:05 GMT10
Am a bit concerned that  I'm experiencing an incontinent flow of urine after
my catheter (22fr) was removed Tuesday.  I practiced Kagel contractions
daily from the time of my biopsy 6/9 until catheter removal 7/25.  I do not
feel any sensation to urinate.  Urine just seems to ...

Waiting is terrible28 Jul 2006 00:07 GMT20
Hello everyone!  I would like to join in and see if we can get any
additional info while we wait for the PSA test after my husband's RP.
That test is 8/11.
A bit about my dh's pc history...

Disturbing Reality27 Jul 2006 02:07 GMT8
Many of us after extensive research seek out the finest surgeons /
hospitals, to perform our procedures, whether it be bradytherapy or RP,
etc.

A year ago today....26 Jul 2006 04:58 GMT4
When I woke up last July 25 I had prostate cancer. By lunchtime I was
cured (according to all signs anyway). Not a bad day.
Not a bad year either. I can urinate when I want and can hold it when I
want. I still have a minor bladder neck problem that closes up when I'm

Aloe Vera good for prostate?23 Jul 2006 20:29 GMT12
I was told Aloe Vera is good for the prostate? I have some growing out
in the back yard, but would prefer a juice of some sort in the store. I
can't seem to find them at my local grocery store like HEB. Any places
to recommend? I live in Texas. Thanks.
