Study uses nanoparticles to kill cancer cells 13 Apr 2006 18:47 GMT2
Just an FYI in case you haven't seen this.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Researchers have found a way to target cancer cells
by injecting tiny particles that will attack only the diseased cells while
leaving healthy cells unscathed, according to a study released on Monday.

My name is David, in Melbourne Australia.
In August 05 routine tests discovered a PSA of 9,
which rose to 19 after 2 months. Ultrasound & DRE
were negative, biopsy found cancer. Gleason 3/4 or 4/3.
Another 90 days gone by12 Apr 2006 19:20 GMT3
To all:
Went in last week for my  90 day Lupron shot. I combine it with a 50MG
Casodex daily.  The PSA 90 days ago was 0.10.  The results now came back at
'less than" 0.10.  This is as low as the non-sensitive test will go. We
Casodex only & testosterone up12 Apr 2006 17:33 GMT4
Is this a spike?  Started Casodex 50 mg once a day exactly a week ago.
His T has been in the 500s.  Had a T today and it was 943.  Not quite
doubled.  He starts Trelstar on Thursday.
P.S. his PSA was "< .04" (confirmed not my typo).  Does Casodex alone
salvage RT for pos lymph nodes--any studies?12 Apr 2006 14:18 GMT22
Hi, all.  We met our local uro today.  He is so cool. He was very open
and information-gathering.  He said he thought it was appropriate we
were going at it very aggressively ("full court press") and that it
looked like our onc knew what she was doing.  He is fine with treating
Hi Ho I'm in for HIFU!11 Apr 2006 15:28 GMT3
I'm going into UCLH hospital this Sunday (day after tomorrow) for some
pre-ops handling and being Hifu'd Monday. Terrific! No more waiting.
Being an idle sort of fellow (idle poor, not idle rich!) I was
available at very short notice to fill in a cancellation. Ah! the

Cryotherapy - Seven+ months post-op09 Apr 2006 21:37 GMT1
I just had my second check of PSA on April 6th and am happy to report a PSA
< 0.1.
To recap, I was 73 at the time of my cryo on August 30, 2005, had a PSA of
4.53, and a Gleason of 6.  First check of PSA was in December of 2005 and it
Crowing!  1st PSA after RP09 Apr 2006 20:08 GMT17
We got the bloodwork back that was done on 4/3, 4 weeks after surgery.
PSA was .01, PAP was .7.  Guess we'll never know how low it would have
gone, since the Casodex was started 4/4 and the rest of the ADT will
start next Thursday.  Still, it is good news.  Shouldn't take any time

want to complete a triathlon.
I have a question to the group.
How many runners do we have here?
