weekend humor - for a remake of the songs of the 60's.....06 Mar 2006 05:30 GMT8
Some of the artists of the 60s are revising their hits with new lyrics
to accommodate again baby boomers. !
They include:
Herman's Hermits -- Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Walker.
Painful urination, muscle cramp before urination06 Mar 2006 05:00 GMT2
A friend has undergone 9 months hormone treatment (Zoladex) and is in his
4th week (of 7.5 ) of conformal radiation treatment and is experiencing
excruciating pain prior to and during urination - urination can take him 4
minutes or more.    With medical advice he recently started ...
Update on March 5, 199705 Mar 2006 14:10 GMT6
I mostly just lurk here lately.  March 5 is the 9th anniversary of
surgery to remove my prostate.   In January that year my first ever PSA
test at a routine physical came with a count of 45.5.  A six-needle
biopsy came back with 6's, 7's and an 8.  The bone scan that followed
Post Op pain05 Mar 2006 06:01 GMT15
Been a month since my RRP and I'm curious about everyone's post op
pain. I see the Uro tomorrow for my first post op blood test and first
real post op follow up. I've been pro active regarding pain control
with a regular regimen of usually a gram of Acetaminophen every 6
Hello, God Bless, got back biopsies05 Mar 2006 02:05 GMT59
Got back biopsies and they have Adenocarcinoma in all 12 samples (he
took 14, don't know what happen to the other 2). Anyhow, on the Gleason
scale I had one-7, two-8s, six-9s, and two -10s. The uro said that is
an aggressive cancer and "appears" advanced.  He ran a camera in
Book List05 Mar 2006 00:35 GMT14
Since we find (unfortunately) new members and lurkers who post almost
every day...
One of the first things that we all recommend (I.P. is ESPECIALLY big on
this...and rightly so)...is to STUDY, STUDY and STUDY.
Mid week laugh - DRE record....I still have no prostate04 Mar 2006 16:58 GMT9
Excuse the pun....I think I may have a dubious record of having more
anal activity than a newbie in prison. I've seen 3 doc's in last week
and have one more to go. Each time they want to break out the glove. By
Friday I'll have had 4 DRE's in 10 days! What is the saying?.....
SRT....Where to get radiated? Does it matter if equip is similiar?04 Mar 2006 16:41 GMT3
We'll it looks like I am going to go for SRT to knock out this damned
PC....hopefully it's localized.
I am pondering do I go to a local hospital (supposedly they have high
end radiation gear) or do I stay under care of a satelite of Memorial
casodex, perineural invasion, and other new big words04 Mar 2006 15:33 GMT9
Hi all and God Bless y'all,
I feel like a mooch on this site, always asking and never offering
information. there is so much involved in this disease I never
imagined.
DRE post surgery?04 Mar 2006 13:32 GMT12
Do they eprform DREs post surgery? I've gathered that, reading the
posts. If they do, why?
The prostate is gone isn't it.? Any PC would be cells in one or another
spot, right? I really don't enjoy DREs. I've never had a cute lil ol
tDub and the AMS 800?04 Mar 2006 12:24 GMT5
I do not see any posts from tDub.  Do I remember correctly that he had the
AMS 800 implant around holiday season?  Are you still out there and how have
you made out?  I hope your experience has been better than mine (see earlier
post to Dave Perry).
CT and bone scans neg04 Mar 2006 06:50 GMT3
My CT and bone scans came back negative. I was happy to hear this.
Thursday 3/9 the whole prostate, nerves and all come out. Plus the
colon cancer. It is malignant and not related to the PC. My uro said
he had only seen 3 other biops with a Gleason of 10. I had
Lupron and weight gain04 Mar 2006 06:36 GMT31
Why didn't I think of asking this question of The Group long ago? I've
followed posts here for the past five plus years and have read voumes of
advice which sometimes comes best from one who has been there. Some doctors
do not realize just how hard it is to handle ones weight ...
prostate transplant?03 Mar 2006 15:37 GMT8
I was going to get a discussion going about the advantages of getting a
prostate from cadaver but  the thought just seems too morbid.
PSA Variability ?03 Mar 2006 12:55 GMT5
My MD had me go in for a biopsy a few months ago, as my psa had jumped to
4.4.
Everything, thank goodness, was negative.
Now, after a few months had it taken again.
