Hello and off-topic07 Feb 2006 21:56 GMT14
Some of you may remember me. My husband John had an RRP in July 2003. So far
everything appears to be going well with him.
However, I had to go back for a followup to my mammogram today as they found
something in the nodules they wanted to check out more.  They took a second
RRP surgeon recommendation in Phoenix07 Feb 2006 04:15 GMT13
Anyone care to publicly or privately share their experience with any
Phoenix surgeons?  Or elsewhere in Arizona.  Considering the numbers,
if we have surgery we will want RRP, not laproscopy.

I've recent has a prostate biospy and am waiting for the results.
I have been on the Cipro for 4 days and have noticed no bleeding at
all.

Does it hurt to have the staples removed after RRP?05 Feb 2006 20:13 GMT18
Looking at all that metal down there is quite distressing. Does it hurt
when the staples come out?

Radiotherapy 5 years after total prostatectomy.05 Feb 2006 18:52 GMT2
Hello with all.
First of all, please excuse my bad English.
My husband underwent a total eprostaectomy in 2001. Since its PSA increased
very gently, so much so that its oncologist makes him make a radiotherapy,
Choosing a doctor05 Feb 2006 14:32 GMT24
I am at work and don't have much time, but I am so frustrated and don't
know what to think.  It is all very well and good for everyone to
recommend going to only the best doctors, like 6, in the country.
Well, its impossible for those few experts to treat every prostate
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound - opinions please05 Feb 2006 00:41 GMT5
Recently diagnosed with pc, age 69, 10 core biopsy revealed 3 positive
cores, 2 on the right side, 1 on the left side, 5% of involved cores
showed adeno-carcinoma, with a gleason of 7. In process of exploring
treatment options, awaiting results of bone scan & cat scan, hopefully
Who removes the catheter?04 Feb 2006 13:05 GMT20
I ask because I just had a disconcerting visit with my local uro.  I'd been
referred to him (on a township newsgroup) after my regular doc found
slightly elevated PSA.  He's the one who did the biopsy, discussed (briefly)
the results with me, and did a follow-up cystoscopy ...
OT, and costly, but it felt good04 Feb 2006 06:28 GMT22
No discussion necessary or appropriate in this forum; I just want to plant a
seed for your private consideration.
The AARP asked why I was canceling my membership after 12 years. I said,
"Two words: Belafonte and Glover." That was enough; she knew exactly what I

Reading between the lines of the pathology report03 Feb 2006 03:31 GMT8
Here's the pathology report. Does anyone want to interpret between the
lines? I know that the same result will produce different outcomes in
different subjects. I see the doc on Friday and I'd like to have a few
educated questions for him.
Micro pads for AMS 800 use . . .03 Feb 2006 01:53 GMT5
At 12 months post RP I finally hit upon the best incontinence pads,
Depends Guards. I think 95% of men must prefer them. They are wide and
big yet quite comfortable to wear, and you can't feel any wetness until
they are almost saturated.      Now that I have THAT problem fixed, and
Ok, guys ... how do these pad thingies work? 02 Feb 2006 20:40 GMT13
My didies are staying dry enough even during 3-4-hour gym workouts that I
tried a pad in some jockey shorts ... fortunately not at the gym. Seems that
my windshield wiper blade is longer than the windshield is wide, so to
speak, so if I'm pointing east or west rather than north ...
