to get a biopsy or not03 Jun 2005 15:52 GMT18
I am a 48 year old that is seeing an urolgist for minor urinating
difficulties.  My PSA in January was 2.08 and a test yesterday showed
1.90. My urologist is very cautious and uses age-specific PSA levels
and his cutoff for biopsy for someone at my age is 1.6 to 1.8 so he is

Damn that was a long needle!  Those lidocaine shots were the most
painful of the whole procedure.
Wish me luck, will know the result next week.
Male Incontinence Clamp Questions.02 Jun 2005 15:19 GMT3
I have a neighbor who is about a year post RRP and he is using a clamp to
control the incontinence.  He is very satisfied with the device.  He is in
his 70's, a widower, and was very upset about the leakage.   In August I
will be two years post op and am still using 1-2 pads per day ...

Did anyone notice?

PSA+FreePSA or Complex PSA02 Jun 2005 12:17 GMT3
I see a lot of talk on this newsgroup about their PSA but little reference
to free PSA.
Just curious why is that?
My PSA tests routinely include a complex score and to me that is extremely
question about post RP orgasms02 Jun 2005 05:23 GMT14
When I delurked under a separate heading I noted I had a couple of
questions.  This is the first.  A rather delicate subject but if this
disease does one thing it is to remove inhibitions about discussing
bodily functions.  Anyhow.  When my erectile function started to
OT: Back from hernia surgery.02 Jun 2005 01:07 GMT6
Hello PCa world.  Back from hernia repair surgery.  Two for the price of
one.  Inguinal hernia, the lump I found, and ventral by the RRP incision.
The surgery was nothing.  In at 10:00 A.M., home eating an Arby's roast beef
sandwich at 2:15 P.M..   I had local anesthesia, but they ...
1st Post-Op PSA Blood Test02 Jun 2005 00:59 GMT4
Met with the urologist to review the results of my 1st RP post-op PSA blood
test. According to him the threshold value was 0.4 where anything above that
was going to cause some concern.
The test came back 0.02 so I can breath again - at least until September
Do They Work?01 Jun 2005 19:34 GMT19
I have been fighting PC since being diagnosed seventeen years ago.  Since
then, I have been an avid follower of information on the Web, particularly
of those interchanges between physician and patient such as are associated
with the P2P organisation.
Zoladex01 Jun 2005 10:44 GMT11
Thanks to Marshall Schuon for sharing your decision to quit Zoladex. Our
paths are very similar. I too received my first injection February 2004. My
urologist wants me on it for two years. My last injection was a couple of
weeks ago and it was a very emotionally draining experience ...
