Vitamin D for Bone Strength11 May 2005 15:42 GMT1
For those concerned with bone mets and interested in enhancing their bone
density this is an interesting article about Vitamin D supplements to help
prevent fractures. Although I shown no sign of bone mets, I have added
calcium and Vitamin D3 supplements to be sure that my bones ...

I report to surgery Monday morning, 6:30 am for seed implants.  I believe it

Researchers agree that space radiation can cause cancer. They're just
not sure how.
Seeding today10 May 2005 10:58 GMT6
I had the seeding this morning.   The first time I urinated there was some
blood.  There are small amounts of blood coming from the area where the
needles were inserted.  They gave me a prescription for pain but I see no
need to have it filled.  Can't say there is no pain,  but ...

Post-Op and Pathology09 May 2005 16:27 GMT22
Sorry this is so long, but it's a one-time (hopefully post) and some of this
might be helpful for someone about to have Robotic Laparoscopy who wonders
what one person - me - experienced the week after surgery.  I had Robotic
Laparoscopy last Thursday, 4/28/2005.  Post-op today ...
OT (maybe) Hernia Surgery May 17th.09 May 2005 12:46 GMT14
It is anybody's guess.  One doctor says it is a result of the RRP, the
other says it is just a plain old inguinal hernia.  One is a really nice guy
who I have known for over ten years.  The other is a real fine looking young
woman who will cut me open May 17th.  This is my ...
PC Blog08 May 2005 22:26 GMT3
Although I'm new to this group I am a four-year PC survivor (radical
prostatectomy and focused-beam radiation therapy).  I understand the
terminologies used, but being new, I do not know to what extent the
discussions have already taken.

Pathology Report In07 May 2005 03:50 GMT11
As some of you are aware, I had robotic prostatectomy last
Thursday after a 15.3 PSA (first and only PSA ever done)
and a biopsy with a Gleason 3+3.  Today I got an oral summary
of the pathology report:
Warning - new disease - Anal Glaucoma - OT - Humor07 May 2005 03:35 GMT3
A man calls his boss one morning and tells him that he is staying home
because he is not feeling well.
"What's the matter?" he asks
"I have a case of anal glaucoma," he says in a weak voice.
Zometa possible strange side effect??07 May 2005 00:19 GMT1
I had my second infusion of Zometa on Thursday.
Thursday night I could not go to sleep.  I finally slipped
into a restless sleep at about 5 AM.  I slept 3 hours.
The same thing happened when I got my first fix.

Peaceful death06 May 2005 13:16 GMT12
My uncle in Germany (age 63) died of prostate cancer last night.  He
had been ill for about 2 years and the cancer was quite advanced when
they found it.  It had already metastisized to the liver and then
spread to the lungs.  The good news is that he died a very peaceful
