For several months on ADT after IMRT, I've had low PSA results, including 0.01 for each of the last three months.
On 4/16, I had another of my monthly PSA tests. The reported result was 4.81, 480 times my last test. My med onc wanted to start Casodex 50 mg qd, followed by chemo, ...
First PSA results post RP27 Apr 2005 04:18 GMT7
Got a card from my doctor with the results of my first PSA test post RP.
According to the results the reading is 0.06.  Everything I've read said
it should be something like  <0.02 but it's slightly higher than that.
The test was taken only 26 days post surgery so I don't know if ...

My story:
Age 56. Brachytherapy 16 days ago. Almost no side effects at all. I am very
surprised. Normal urination (maybe a little more frequent). No catheter.
Erection and ejaculation (bloody - sorry to the squeamish) - similar to

Malpractice26 Apr 2005 12:42 GMT16
I am 65 with a Gleason 7 prostate cancer facing LRP soon. Looking
through my records I find my PCP diagnosed BPH on a DRE in 1999. PSA
showed an elevated level but he didn't indicate the reading.
Subsequent exams indicated BPH and elevated PSA and finally in mid 2003

From Walsh's book...the PSA half life is about 2-3 days...so wouldn't
PSA down from 122 to 126 Apr 2005 00:15 GMT1
I was reading the book "Surviving Prostate Cancer Without Surgery" by
Dr. Bradley Hennenfent and he tells of this case study of a guy who
got his PSA from a high of 122 down to 1 in a couple of months by
taking PC SPES several times a day.

Found a lump.25 Apr 2005 20:04 GMT3
Found a lump yesterday just above the public hair on the left side.  I had a
hernia repaired on that side about five years ago, but that was in a
different location, much lower, down by the testicles.  Will call the
doctor's office today to see what they say.  Probably just another
