This is a followup to my previous post about choosing a doctor for RRP.
Although you can talk to doctors, ask questions about their success
rates, and talk to their previous patients, its hard to cover enough
ground to do a truely objective study and comparison. One guide I have

I have not seen this question answered.
Do I have to worry for life if urinary blockage due
to scarring will occur after surgery or is there a
time after which it will not occur ?

Yep, Back to the hospital to check out heart and Pacemaker..Pacer has
been acting up and  almost 10 years it's at end of life.. Wish me luck
again..and glad Ron is home...anyone else in the group have a Pacemaker?

This may not be relevant, but since I've been on ADT, I've wrenched
nerves in my R longest finger, L shoulder and L heel of hand all from
over extension of movements I've previously done. If I repeat the

i just got an email and he wanted me to go ahead and post the word that
he's home.
he did have problems with being a bleeder and was having trouble passing
clots which is why they kept him until today.

I've been looking at the Partin Tables and notice the term
"Extraprostatic Extension". What does that exactly mean? What is the
difference between that and "organ confined"? Does it mean the cancer
escaped the prostate and will come back?

John, just checking up on you.  Curt went refractory about 4-6 months ago
but delayed treatment (taxotere + decadron + zofran )  and a PSA of 87 .we
just went for round 2 today. His hair is 2/3s gone already. (mr meticulous

not practical.  Curtis Palmer once offered a wonderful explanation
of why involving two slices of bread, a lump of cheese, and

The catheter came out last Tuesday, and everything seems to be working fine,
but there is burning every time I urinate.  What causes the burning, and is
there any way to avoid it?  Will it go away after several days?   Any advice
will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all who replied.  Being new to PC and to ng's, sometimes its hard
