Jerry Orbach died today10 Jan 2005 01:18 GMT17
What a sad day to hear that Jerry Orbach died of PC.. He was diagnosed
in May, the same time that I was diagnosed.  He must have had an
extremely advanced case to have only survived one year after
diagnosis.   Notwithstanding the fact that I have been an Orbach fan

5 Weeks and First Day Back to Work08 Jan 2005 21:35 GMT15
Well, it's 5 weeks tomorrow since my RRP on 12/1/04.  The catheter's been
gone since 2 weeks, incision all healed up, and I've been able to stay
awake all day for some time now.  All excuses gone, at least in my mind,
for staying home from a desk job.

Thought I was 100% Continent08 Jan 2005 15:13 GMT4
I am now 7 months post-RRP and have been 100% continent for several
months. I had even given my pads to Goodwill. Earlier this week I had
cataract surgery and got surprised. I was given a sedative through  my
IV during surgery and afterwards, in the recovery room, I found I had

Got my biopsy results today and was told I'm ok.  I didn't get the Gleason
numbers because they were short handed due to an ice storm, but I'll be sure
to get them and post them here for evaluation.  I will also ask for the
samples taken so I can take them to another lab or have ...

Re: Jerry Orbach's PCa07 Jan 2005 19:17 GMT36
I posted this before and someone inferred that to further pry into a
"CELEBRITY"s life would be untoward.
IMHO, PCa is a great leveler and I don't have any Celebrities' pics up
in my Den.

A good friend of mine has just been through the "normal" cancer mill when
her husband was dx'ed a few days ago. Young (50ish), strong, healthy male,
works out, etc. notices a bulge in his one pectoral area. Figures it is
nothing probably did something wrong when working out. It will ...
