When I try to post a reply to a message I get an error message from

Slow peeing - results22 Jan 2005 04:06 GMT1
Hi Mike,
I had the same problem as you have.  Its not very common and recovery
is usually quick and complete.  However, a few of us have had longer
recoveries.  Even in those situations the outcome is positive.
new aid in stopping urinary leakage? (joke)22 Jan 2005 01:03 GMT1
California vintners in the Napa Valley area, which primarily produces
Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio wines, have developed a new
hybrid grape that acts as an anti-diuretic. It is expected to reduce
the number of trips older people (and others) have to make to the
Biopsy results good22 Jan 2005 00:19 GMT42
My PSA went from 6.something to 10 in six months.
My new uro in Edmonton sent me in for yet another biopsy.  No. 6 in 12
years or so.
They took 12 samples on Dec 15, and detected no cancer.
Multiple prostate biopsies21 Jan 2005 22:52 GMT6
I had two prostate biopsies last year. Both showed some abnormal
(non-cancerous) cells in a small section of the prostate. Now my
urologist wants to continue with biopsies every 6-8 months. Is this
a routine approach?
VED Choices21 Jan 2005 13:12 GMT5
At my 6 week check-in, I was given a prescription for a VED.  Was told
their own office sold them for about $160, but that medical supply stores
carry them for about $400-600.  Quite a difference.
Does anyone have any experience with these?  Recommend one type or brand
Ibuprofen21 Jan 2005 03:46 GMT5
I was reading a web page about prostate cancer and psa bounce
at prostate-help.org and found some references to ibuprofen.  Looking
back in the newsgroup archive, I then found that in 2002 there was
some discussion of ibuprofen and PCa.
slow peeing- results21 Jan 2005 02:10 GMT1
You guys were correct.  It was scar tissue that formed after my RP surgery
( 11 weeks ago) which caused my slow and messy peeing.  My urologist just
performed a dilation of the stricture where the ureatha was joined to the
bladder.  He passed a wire looking thing in me and ...
2nd annual: Are shoes a cause of prostate cancer?20 Jan 2005 18:12 GMT14
Given the responses it kicked off last year here in the newsgroups, I
would like to annually address the biomechanical effects of shoes on
human degenerative diseases.  Most people still think the idea stinks.
Yet it seems to me that shoes on the feet are like germs on the hands.
Hormone therapy and radiation20 Jan 2005 07:02 GMT17
I have just come to this news group, have started to read messages, and plan
to read them all.  So many!  And that's wonderful.  But I do have a question
that has been concerning me (much as I try to put it aside) and would so
much appreciate a response, if that is possible.
dodging the chemo bullet20 Jan 2005 03:27 GMT6
Curt is down to receiving only Lupron q3months with Zometa 1month. His PSAs
are going down slightly so he hasn't had to start Chemo yet.
things are going pretty good health-wise for him around here. Now if I could
only get him to rinse his spit out of the sink..........

HT and Male Menopause19 Jan 2005 17:57 GMT5
Male menopause, aka andropause, is a major mental and physical health
problem for millions of men of middle age or older. It is a natural
occurrence parallel to but often more brutal than female menopause, and very
often produces a long list of symptoms including impotence, loss of ...
Another prostate cancer book19 Jan 2005 02:00 GMT14
I found a new book about prostate cancer by Glenn. J Bubley, who is
director of genitourinary oncology at Beth Israel in Boston and is on
the Harvard Medical School staff.  The title is somewhat provacative:
"What Your Doctor May Not Tell You about Prostate Cancer".  But the
