Why don't they call me back!?06 Nov 2004 04:30 GMT4
PSA test was drawn Monday morning early.  Called today as
instructed to get the results.  No call yet...ugh!  I hate this wait.
Cialis over Viagra06 Nov 2004 02:22 GMT7
I tried Cialis in lieu of Viagra for the first time last night. Wow!!
I'm hooked on it. My wife prefers morning sex and I can take it the
night before rather than get up an hour earlier in the morning to take
it. It gave me a lot more bang for the buck for being 4 1/2 months
What am I missing here??05 Nov 2004 22:49 GMT12
This is a passage from Businessweek:
"POTENTIAL RISK."  The problem with the PSA test is that it's too
sensitive -- and that can lead to unnecessary treatments with nasty
side effects, including incontinence and impotence. In a large
QUESTION05 Nov 2004 19:24 GMT22
I have been diagnosed with very little prostate cancer.  Out of 14
snippets taken during my biopsy, only one showed a trace of just 5%.
I refuse to have the prostatectomy!  However, I have heard wonderful
things about the freezing procedure.
Seeded 11/2/04 "Up and running" again.05 Nov 2004 17:56 GMT8
I posted a question a while back about post seeding urination issues, since I was
concerned about that potential problem. The responses were helpful, and set my mine to
rest. Its only fair that I post my experience after a couple of days.
I was seeded on the 2nd (I had voted ...
advice05 Nov 2004 17:36 GMT7
I am 56 and have Gleason of 3 + 4 = 7.  PSA 10.9
Have had a turp and the biopsy was done at the same time.
Will be seeing Oncologist for the 1st time on Tuesday.  Wondering if the
seed implants may be worthwhile?
HooHah!05 Nov 2004 14:59 GMT9
Well, it has been going on 10 months since my RRP and I had my PSA taken
yesterday. It returned today as 0.04 (undetectable). That is three tests
so far. Hope it stays that way.

dermatologist and it's like a bad chemical burn.Cream is supposed to help.
Clearly this is not the thing to do .
next step in journey04 Nov 2004 13:19 GMT3
I've just got my latest PSA results - <0.01 - all good! Next appointment
12 months away.
The doc gave me some Levitra to try to get over the next hurdle, maybe
I'll be able to pole vault over it :-)
New approaches to treating prostate cancer recurence after radical prostatectomy????04 Nov 2004 06:20 GMT5
I am trying to help my father decide a treatment plan. He had radical
prostate surgery 5.5 years ago (in 1999) and a biochemical recurrence
was detected early this year - around January. He has a tumor (about a
centimeter big) detected near his collar bone. He is trying to decide
Side-effects of radiation04 Nov 2004 02:58 GMT10
As someone about to undergo radiotherapy for prostate cancer, I wonder what
side-effects I can expect, or where to look on the net for further
information.
I assume I will experience proctitis, and possibly diarrhea, also tiredness
I don't understand Gleason score04 Nov 2004 01:48 GMT46
My father died last year of prostate cancer. He was Dx in 1994 and had
radition and seeds in 1997. The cancer came back a few years later.
I talked to his urologist shortly after his death, as my father never
wanted to talk about his cancer.

Trying 2nd time03 Nov 2004 14:12 GMT10
My Dr. gave me Viagra... perscription for a little more help with ed.
I get a 100 mgs pill and use about 1/3.  It is very good, and works well.
I get a dull headache afterwards......sometimes, but does not bother me
since the sex with the drug is fantastic.
I leak, therefore I am....03 Nov 2004 13:56 GMT4
Well, last regular uro visit this morning.  Have to wait a couple
days for the PSA results, 15 months out now.  The bad news is that in
all likelihood where I am at with the leaking (1-2 pads per day) is
where I shall stay forever more :(((  .    Advice = do the Kegels and
