OT Spam, porn, and frustration.12 Aug 2004 02:40 GMT25
I was going to entitle this "See Buttercup nude" just to fit in with the
majority of the posts here lately.  Anybody know what is going on with all
the crap that is showing up?  I am seeing this in other newsgroups, like
microsoft.public... and they are all the same - "See ...
How long does HT last12 Aug 2004 00:16 GMT1
My luprin injections in Oct 03 and Mar 04 lasted for 4 months each and I am
keen to get back into IT with a fall in oestrogen and a rise in my
testosterone. BUT now in mid Aug 04 my tests show the Testosterone level to
be at 1.2 when the norm is 8. to 27.

Updating the group: 5 days to go until my RRP (7-27-04) at
Sloan-Kettering by Dr James Eastham.
I got in a clinical trial for a substance that may improve nerve
healing or help prevent nerve damage.  I have a 2 out of 3 chance of
Final checkup done big day Aug 2411 Aug 2004 06:01 GMT1
My thanks to all of you who helped me make these decisions.  On Aug 24 I'll
be having LRP at City of Hope in Duarte.  Mark Kawachi ( 3rd opinion) is
supposed to be very practiced at this and his resume is impressive.  He had
the statistics I needed to appease my engineer's soul so ...

It's been a while since I've posted, but I've been monitoring the site and
take hope from others' experiences.  Allen's surgery in on 8/18 - exactly
10 days away.  It seems to be arriving so fast, although when we first got
the surgery date it seemed way too far away.
Some surprise good news today!10 Aug 2004 11:40 GMT2
Today was Allen's presurgery appointment with the surgeon.  We thought it
would be a conversation, but it turns out it was a DRE and a scope to see
if the cancer had spread to the bladder.  No cancer in the bladder
(yay!!!), nor anything visible on the prostate.  Still nothing on ...
Dog Lover & Survivor: I don't think dogs get enough credit for what they have meant for research & therapy10 Aug 2004 08:50 GMT8
After reading some books and research reports on the healing powers of
dogs, I thought back to my own six-month battle and RP, and how
spending time with my dog was as therapeutic as anything else I did. I
also have started researching the fact that as the only other animal
Breakthrough at 7 weeks post-RRP10 Aug 2004 03:56 GMT5
I had a real breakthrough (in more than one sense) yesterday. Seven
weeks after my successful nerve-sparing RRP (all negative margins) I
had successful intercourse with my wife, although with just a wee
semi-erection. No Viagra either. My surgeon said he would prescribe
