Positive Biiopsy - 2nd time Part II26 Aug 2004 08:58 GMT6
Now I'm confused and not quite as confident/optimistic as before.  When I
first talked
to my doctor on Monday, I assumed after we reviewed his understanding of the
pathology report for the biopsy that I was lucky in that the report

Residual Cancer24 Aug 2004 07:59 GMT3
I posted a couple of weeks ago about having some residual prostate
cancer radiated 2 years after my RRP.  I'm about 1/3 of the way
through and I'm starting to have some mild side effects.  Diarrhea and
a little pain when I urinate, which I do  more frequently.  The worst

My daughter married this afternoon.  Now all three of my children are
happily married.  One gave me a grandson.  One is pregnant.  One married

Seeds23 Aug 2004 15:17 GMT6
I just finished 28 treatments of IMRT and am supposed to have seeds
next. My urologist did a bladder scan and found that i retain about 2 oz
(about 60cc). He told me because of that there is a chance that, after
implants, i might have to be on a catheter for a while. He then
Merle Bloom...the next installment23 Aug 2004 13:27 GMT1
In answer to Alex's question:  We've been through several social workers
from several different agencies. At this point, I think they've told us
everything they're going to tell us, because they just keep sending us to
each other in an endless round.
RRP is done - results are great (so far!)23 Aug 2004 11:36 GMT6
I'm just home for a few minutes, getting stuff for Allen to play with
while he is in the hospital.  He came through with flying colors (thanks
for all of the prayers and good wishes!)  There is no spread to the lymph
nodes, and there was no apparent spread outside the prostate.  ...
Today's outcome - Merle Bloom23 Aug 2004 11:29 GMT8
Well, this wasn't the best doctor visit we've ever had.
To cut to the chase, they basically said that the cancer is so widespread
throughout his skeleton that there's very little chance they can do anything
to help with the pain. They did order blood work and an MRI of the entire
The Proton Guy Is BACK23 Aug 2004 03:45 GMT9
Hello everyone!!!! After a few months of delays and politics between my

OT- SOME HUMOR - SIGNS OF MIDLIFE23 Aug 2004 01:59 GMT1
Midlife is when you go to the doctor and you realize you are now so old,
you have to pay someone to look at you naked.
The good news about midlife is that the glass is still half-full...of
course, the bad news is that it won't be long before your teeth are

Capsule Penetration22 Aug 2004 17:29 GMT4
Thanks for the many helpful posts this morning.  I finally got to talk to
the doctor.  The pathology isn't done yet, our doctor just went down to
hasten the pathologist a bit and looked at some of the pathology in
progress himself (with the pathologist).  I verified that the margins ...
About TENS Therapy for Incontinence After RP22 Aug 2004 00:05 GMT13
(This is actually a re-post. Since there were no resonses at all from this
helpful group, I assumed that I made some sort of error in posting it. It is a
serious question. I am having the surgery sometime in the next month and would
like to explore these ideas before, if possible.
