Question for a man on Lupron11 Jun 2004 13:59 GMT4
Hello, I am going to be speaking to a man who goes to the local cancer
resource center and his problems with Lupron.  I am not a Dr. and just
trying to help the fellow out emotionally and with the ladies who run the
center.  He is concerned about his breast growing, and I am sure he ...

See this link:

Jist is that after 15 years slow growing prostate cancers become
aggresive.  Death rate triples.
Lupron TORPEDOES  last PSA!11 Jun 2004 03:00 GMT15
In late December with a PSA of almost 30, I had a 30 day shot of
Lupron.  In early February I had a PSA of 1.7.  At that time I had a 4
months' shot of Lupron.  The PSA today was < 1.  So today he gave me
another 4 months worth and said it was working just fine.  I asked him

Pre-Op Testing & Clinical Trial11 Jun 2004 01:26 GMT2
Well, yesterday I completed my pre-op testing at Memorial Sloane Lettering
Cancer Center in NYC.  Dr. Peter Scardino, the head of urology there, is my
physcian/surgeon.  My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday.  I learned a
few things that I thought would interest this group.  ...
Dr. Welch on new results10 Jun 2004 17:02 GMT64
I forgot to paste in Dr. Welch's comments on the new study.  Does everyone
have prostate cancer?  The sad fact is that we age, we men probably all do.
By 80, it is close to or at 100%.

Asbestos exposure and health problems.09 Jun 2004 23:22 GMT2
Exposure to asbestos has been linked to the cause of a number of health

Made My Decision09 Jun 2004 22:36 GMT16
After weeks of research, doctor's appointments and tests, I decided to
get the RRP.  My surgery is scheduled for July 27 at Sloan-Kettering.
It will be performed by Dr James Eastham.
I fully believe that any choice I made (surgery or radiation) would
Stick a Fork in Me - I'm Done09 Jun 2004 22:18 GMT7
Last (42nd) IMRT today.
Glad it's over. Hopefully some of the side effects will now start to ease
up. Thank God for Olfart's butt salve which is working great. Also got new
meds from Uro which should help the peeing every hour at night problem.
Martin Howard and Alfonso09 Jun 2004 17:23 GMT5
Friends,
I haven't been following the postings regularly and wonder whatever
became of the abovementioned men.  Martin was drinking his urine and
Alfonso swore that RCOG was the only institution to be cured completely.
Muse + Viagra09 Jun 2004 12:58 GMT2
My doc wants me to try a combination of Muse and Viagra.
I've tried a combination of Viagra and pump with decent success.
I tried the shots, but didn't find it a lot of fun!
I think I have seen posts on Muse before.  Any opinions out there?
Risk of watchful waiting09 Jun 2004 03:48 GMT1
I guess there are no advocates of watchful waiting for younger patients on
this list, but anyway here's a study with data to back up that point of
view:

Back to Work09 Jun 2004 01:16 GMT9
It's time to return to work, I had the seed implant last week and a Foley
for a couple of days, and as commented on by some of you, it was no big
deal. Removal was a cinch. I recall comments about a 110 lb nurse being able
to pick up a 240 lb man with two fingers while removing the ...
