A recent prostate biopsy showed cancer in 2 of 12 samples. PSA was 5.5,

cryosurgery route. Does anybody have some experience with or thoughts ...

I had my first visit with the doctor since my surgery in February, my
PSA level was undetectable, I don't know how much that means
1 Week Post Op26 Jun 2004 16:22 GMT5
So here it is, one week away from my RRP.  I guess the best thing is that
every day I've felt better and better, stronger and stronger.  Not thrilled
about having a garden hose connected to me, but fortunately, it's scheduled
to come out on Monday.  I take each day as it comes.

The uro gave me a prescrition for Amitriptyline for

Re-staging Biopsy or PSA?25 Jun 2004 17:29 GMT1
I had a TURP done 3 years ago and was told that of the 62 chips (as the
Urologist said) he took off my prostate two were cancerous. I have been
getting PSAs done on a routine basis ever since. I recently changed my
Urologist and was told by him that a better procedure for detecting
ED Specialist Visit25 Jun 2004 03:42 GMT1
Had the visit with an ED specialist today.  He did a thorough history
and physical (with my underpants off I leaked on the floor and the exam
table but he told me not to worry, they were used to that in urology).  He
told me that he thought my ED problems pre RRP were due to the ...
The Joy Continues!23 Jun 2004 22:40 GMT8
Short history for new patients;  I was diagnosed in January, 2001, had a
Radical Retropubic Prostatectomy on 25 April 2001, had a PSA of 12.4 a month
later, higher than the PSA at diagnosis, and started Casodex to shrink gland
for radiation. When PSA was 0.5 in October, entered ...
PSA doubling time calculator23 Jun 2004 21:53 GMT11
I have used a calculator that computes PSA doubling time for a maximum
of six psa measurements. See: http://kevin.phys.unm.edu/psa/
I wonder if there are online calculators that can use a higher number
of readings.
Just diagonosed23 Jun 2004 04:59 GMT26
I'm 49 and went to the Dr for a physical.  He found my PSA was 9 up from 2.0

that I have prostate cancer.  Gleason 3+3.  found in both sides of the
prostate.  His recommendation was radical prostectomy.  Man ...
