Just got my biopsy result back. Doc didn't say much, is waiting for
results of a bone scan next week.
My initial PSA was 189. My 6 core samples all showed about 90%
cancerous!  The Gleason score was 3+4=7.

I am still in the research stage.  For background, since I'm new, I had a
PSA of 9.  Had  biopsy with 6 if 12 cores positive.  Gleason of 6.  No stage
provided but this was found in a routine physical  No other symptoms.  I am

My 77-year old father was just diagnosed with PCa
(PSA=11.6, Gleason 7(3+4), bone scan OK).
The doc prescribed hormontherapy for three months
and after that radiation.

Hello - this seems like a terrific site and I've gathered a lot of
information already.
My husband was diagnosed last week, T1C, stage 7 with a PSA of 8.  We've
pretty much decided on a prostatectomy (either RRP or LRP but leaning

Surgery is set second week in July. Nurse told me that I would be able
to leave the hospital in 3 days and I would come back a week after
surgery to have the catheter removed. Recovery time is supposed to
last 4 to 6 weeks.
