Thanks to everyone who replied to my inquiries last week. The answers were
extremely helpful in deciding how to respond to the fact that my PSA was at
4.25 and my doctor was recommending a biopsy, which *was* scheduled for
next Wednesday.
A good news report20 May 2004 01:01 GMT8
Saw my urologist a couple of hours ago for a checkup after 4 years.
He said that he didn't want to see me again unless the PSA went up.
While there are no guarantees, he reckons I should be OK
But... I'll still have the anxiety increase associated with the PSA test.

OT: John saw his eye doctor today19 May 2004 19:48 GMT7
He has a cataract starting in one eye.  My first thought was "Oh no."
Because I thought we don't need this after dealing with his cancer last

doctor is not recommending surgery at this point because it is small ...

Just walking the dog and stopped to talk to one of my neighbors.  I
would guess him to be 70 give or take a couple years.  He told me that he
was just diagnosed with prostate cancer.  PSA 6.1 I think he said.  The
biopsy came back today, and his doctor recommended surgery.  ...
How Long Can Treatment Decisions Be Delayed?19 May 2004 02:16 GMT3
When newcomers show up, we often tell them to take their time and make
an informed decision.  Below, I've posted two studies that attempt to
address this question of how long can a man wait.  As we'd expect
high-risk men should move faster than low-risk men, and it appears
PSA back again.19 May 2004 01:29 GMT6
Curt's PSA is back down a hair. to 17.25. That may just be the lowest it
goes. he is going to slow down a bit at work and get rid of some headaches

BTW his testosterone was 14 so he is blocked enough with his quarterly

Thank you again one and all.  This a Great NG.

lost about 25.)  All the fat and protein is kinda scary though (I be big

Since my prostatectomy in Dec 2002, all my PSA readings have been >0.01.  My
latest reading was 0.01 without the > sign.  I rang the lab and they said it
wasn't a typo and that result was an exact one.
They wouldn't give me any more info and said I should talk to my doc which I

Caverjet experience.18 May 2004 18:42 GMT4
First of all, let me say that I think we all know that our
experiences and reactions are different, so please do not use my
report to cross Caverjet off the list of things to try for dealing
with post RRP erectile disfunction.  I would say try it, based on your
