Well, today was the day. We arrived at the hospital at 5:15am by 7am the iv's were in place and at 7:30 as scheduled Phil was taken to surgery. By 8:05 the incisions were made and at 8:17 the robot was in place. By 1pm Phil was in recovery and joking with the surgeon about

Well, David is now out of bed and walking - not quite freely - had the drain removed yesterday and is hopeful that the iv will be gone today. Not too impressed with the food available to him at this stage, but if that is his only worry, things cannot be so bad!

I'm scheduled for my prostate removal operation in just 2 1/2 weeks and need to make a decision as to nerve grafting. The doc is going to have to take out the nerves on one side of my prostate. He offered nerve grafting but I have concerns.

My father will be seeing a Urologist Professor Costello on Monday regarding having his prostate removed. Since January his PSA has risen from 9.6 to 10 in Feb to 11.1 in March. The last test was ordered by a Radiation oncologist at the Peter Maccallum

Thanks for your responses - I printed them out and took them to David today. He is now out of ICU and was in a bit of pain when they did the transfer. I stayed with him for a couple of hours , left him about midday, and he was in and out of things a bit. Went back to see him
