As some of you may be aware from an earlier post of mine, I just found this discussion group about 2 hours ago. I wish I had found it earlier! I had radioactive seeds implanted into my prostate gland approximately 10 hours ago, and a ecstatic with my recovery to this point. I will ...

| New Guy Here | 25 Mar 2004 22:58 GMT | 21 |
Hi all - not thrilled to be here. I just turned 47 and by a lucky fluke had my PSA checked. Urologist said it was high, let's do a biopsy. Results caught me off guard - of the 10 samples 8 were malignant, one uncertain and only one was clear. I'm now scheduled for CT scans and ...

| PSA tomorrow | 25 Mar 2004 22:54 GMT | 4 |
I start my fasting for my cholesterol and post-RRP PSA test and go in in the morning, 3/24, for the blood work. This will be my first PSA since my 12/15/2003 robotic RP. I am a little anxious about the PSA. My appointment with the surgeon for PSA review is a week from Friday,

| "Dry" orgasms | 25 Mar 2004 06:00 GMT | 36 |
I've read many posts in this n.g. about incontinence, E.D., viagra, etc., but not much about dry orgasms. I'm approaching a year post IMRT treatment, and the good news is I'm totally continent and can achieve a decent erection. The bad news is that the "dry"

| Day Four report is in! | 24 Mar 2004 05:02 GMT | 12 |
It has been four days since Phil's surgery, he is home and up. It is sort of a funny site, I got him a plastic pail for the catheter bag, and he just walks around holding on to the pail. His spirits are great and he said that the catheter is not as bad has he thought it

| Consistency, thy name is blessed. | 24 Mar 2004 04:31 GMT | 6 |
The PSA is back down. History every other week: 44, 10, 32, 36, 31, 10. Perhaps it is merely being off the chemicals, or maybe it is the ice cream... I am off the chemotherapy "permanently", at least for quite a while, so perhaps hopefully it will stay down or go lower.

| Post Op Cancer & Proper Diet? | 23 Mar 2004 21:35 GMT | 1 |
I was told that Tomatoes, blueberries etc were good foods to consume for their anti-toxin abilities, are there other foods that can be used for the same result? I am recovering from Post prostate cancer surgery and, as you can imagine, would like more of a variety in my diet.

Posted about this a few days ago and though an update might be helpful. My surgeon-who-was-to-be called today and said he had reviewed the op. notes of my hernia repair (bilateral laparoscopic with mesh--1999) and cannot perform the retropubic procedure. He said
