I had LRP performed by Arnon Krongrad in Miami(Aventura, FL) on

Catheter Removal05 Feb 2004 16:22 GMT7
Has anyone attempted to remove the catheter themselves? I asked my
surgeon and he indicated that there is no reason one could not do it
themselves, in fact he has had patients who have done it with no
problems. Cut off the pigtail, let the saline solution drain out,

My father has just received results saying he has prostate cancer.  I think
it was either 6 or 8  samples were taken and 2 wound found to be cancer.
One was 3mm the other 1mm.  The psa is 10 and a Gleason of 6.
The specialist belives all the cancer is probably in the prostate only.  ...

Undetectable!!  Don's LRP was 10/20/03.  He's pretty much continent

sneezing.
As far as potency goes, Dr. Taylor wrote Don a prescription for

Time's almost here. By late afternoon tomorrow I should be rid of this nasty

Some good news already: the GoLytely prep went pretty well. I didn't barf
and got cleared out before having to finish the whole ...

How long does Lupron last?04 Feb 2004 21:55 GMT11
Can anyone who has taken Lupron and then stopped taking it
tell how long the effects lasted after the last injection.
I had 7.5 mg in October, and 22.5 mg around November 22.
The theoretical 3 month dose will be over in 3 more weeks.
PSA Puzzle04 Feb 2004 21:30 GMT15
I?m puzzled about my rising PSA levels following radical prostatectomy eleven years ago.
For about eight years, annual tests showed my PSA at less than 0.1. Then it came to life with 0.25.  It rose and fell slightly, but last August the reading was 0.52, and three weeks ago it was ...

Brand new here. I'm 52. Just went through a cystoscopy and prostate
biopsy. Gotta wait till February 17 for the results.
According to the physician's assistant who gave me my physical in
November of 2003, my PSA went from 1.9 in 2002 to 5.1 in 2003.

some of the literature comparing RP and LRP and have list below my
findings, along with the supporting reference where available.  Many

The decision has been made and I have scheduled surgery for Mar 12.
I'll be doing the autologous blood thing in a couple of weeks for the op.
I've researched the credentials of the surgeon and am comfortable that
he is competent to do the job.  He has been highly recommended and ...
