| Continence is not forever | 20 Sep 2003 16:54 GMT | 10 |
After a year I still drip and dribble a bit sometimes. It never goes away completely. You need to keep doing kegels for the rest of your life. Funny thing is that when I get aroused I seem to relax or stimulate or something, and it squirts a bit! Never during the day when I'm at ...

To put it lightly, the computer has prostate cancer. It seems, with digital inspection, the computer has one lobe or both lobes, with nodules...... It depends on the advance of the virus attack.

My wife works at a hospital with a medical library that I visit whenever I meet her at work. Spent about an hour yesterday looking through the urology journals, and right there in a recent issue is a study on penile length. Sure enough, there is a length reduction of up

| Pathologists are unreliable --- | 20 Sep 2003 13:04 GMT | 13 |
I took my Gleason 4+3=7 biopsy samples to another pathologist (actually 2 of them), expecting them to say "That first guy blew it completely, you're really a 2+2=4.", or "They're fooling you --- these plugs came from a Cocker Spaniel.", but no --- they gave me a 4+5=9!

Dr. Bjeldanes and colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley showed that 3.3-diindolylmethane (DIM), obtained by eating cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, or brussel sprouts) acts as a powerful antiandrogen. In this study, androgen-dependent

Is anyone else in the expected path of Hurricane Isabel? Planning to evacuate to avoid the storm, or will you weather it out? Raleigh is about a two hour drive inland from Wrightsville Beach, but the last one that came through here sure made a mess. Hope this one decides

| Undetectable at 3 years | 20 Sep 2003 01:08 GMT | 17 |
My wife just told me that my PSA test on Monday came back "undetectable". I am still too chicken to call myself even after all this time. ;-) I don't know how my doctor defines "undetectable", but I decided not to

| sucess rates | 19 Sep 2003 23:49 GMT | 1 |
My dad is 71 he just had idodine seeds implanted today. This after 25 sessions of radiation therapy. His prostate cancer hasn't spread and was caught fairly early. What are the ball park figures for a clean bill of health in a few months?

| My son's tumor | 19 Sep 2003 07:49 GMT | 2 |
A while back I mentioned that my son had a lipomatous mass removed from his inner thigh. A very, very large mass. Well we were told that it was benign and that regular followup was all that was required. Last night he unexpectedly came over and told us that

Hi All---I had the catheter out today! Man what a relief! It is amazing how much better it feels down there in "man land." Overall, the catheter was not as bad as I had anticipated, except for the bladder spasms. These occured during a bowel movement, emptying

| Storm of the century | 19 Sep 2003 02:22 GMT | 11 |
Well, this is a new century, right? So hurricane Isabel for the time being will be the "Storm of the Century", at least for us in the Carolinas. I was around for the last hurricane that hit here, I think it was Fran. I slept through that one, but that is not to be for Isabel ...
